What is your fallback JRPG to destress with?
Pokemon. Always has been, always will be. Though the Ys games are also great for that. Nice adventures with awesome music to get you pumped. Never fails to make me feel good.
Dark souls
Super mario RPG!
Throwback but eternal sonata
Harvestella was anything but cozy for me! While not required, I was always trying to min-max my days. Farming in the morning, followed by any quests/dungeon diving, and then accounting for overworld travel times. Was quite a lot to plan out each day and there was never enough time! Definitely a fun game though.
Half this list being dragon quest makes me realize why its my favourite series
I love the character design and animation. I Can see why Everyone always speaks highly of it
I loved Dragon Quest Rocket Slime, Builder 2 and DQM, but can't seem to get into DQXI at all. I bought the game expecting a good time since i loved DQ spinoffs, but apparently not the main series.
The Atelier games are my fave go-to for cozy feels❤
thhnx buddy, i was looking for some JRPG for the summer
Should probably mention that Dragon Quest 11, and Ni no Kuni while being great games do tend to have big difficulty spikes at times.
I still vividly remember the first time I entered the ice region in DQ11.
So some grind may be required, depending on your playstyle.
Yes ni no kuni is far from relaxing.
I don't know about Ni no Kuni. But I don't agree on Dragon Quest 11 having difficulty spikes. The object of the series is too battle or grind if you prefer and get stronger. There are Metal Slimes and variations of them that gives you plenty of experience points and level up faster. Combined with the Alchemy to make powerful weapons, accessories & so on, the game shouldn't be that hard.
Love that Fantasy Life i made it onto this list! 🙌 I had like 90+ hours into the first game on 3DS and I'm so excited for this new game coming out later this year. 🎉
Excellent video!
Been watching all the videos you’ve put up so far. Love all of them! One of the good rpg youtube channels out there! Keep it up!
Much appreciated!
Woot woot! Fantasy Life in October!
W list 🔥 I needed to pick up a good ol JRPG for the summer and this is perfect 💯
Yesssir, get your something to ease your mind from raging on OPBR lol.
Great video I have 5 of these games and haven’t started any of them lol
love your videos and this one was good becouse i be looking for relaxing jrpg's i have one to add to this list as i just started playing it i find it really relaxing and fun the game is Sea of Stars i play it on my switch but i also havit on xbox gamepass as well
I love the atilier series ryza definitely my favorite
i finished atelier sophie 2, can i just say gameplay is more fluid than other ryza games i think. story not so much but just the button inputs are instant animations while in battle thats so good for me. but sadly atelier sophie 1 physical copy is so rare that i gave up looking for it. im playing on switch btw cheers! 🎉
Octopath Traveler 2 and Witch Spring R
Ni No Kuni might seem like kids play but anyone that has beaten it would usually say that it has a lot of serious moments. Ones that can hit pretty hard. Especially at the end.
Cant help but feel a tinge of chatgpt feeling when you recite the script 😂 but dope list though
Yeah ni no kuni ramps up the difficulty pretty quick
HARVESTELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m surprised you picked the first Ryza when the sequel Ryza 2 is easily the best for story and content.
I prefer Ni no Kuni 2 myself. I found Ni no Kuni 1 a little boring after a while.
It lost me by the snow island.
Absolutely agree. NNK2 gave you those extra little things to do which made it a better overall game.
DQ11 is the greatest of all time
The coming game: Infinity Nikki
So hyped!
Can't agree with you that Ni No Kuni is relaxing - that first boss ramps up difficulty too fast with a bunch of cheap shots. It is beautiful but that boss ended that game for me. I do not call a game where you have to 'learn' a boss and refight over and over to beat it. I felt cheated out of the money I spent for it and will never go back to it. The rest of the games I agree with you. The Atelier games and Harvestella are some of my favorites.
It was fairly easy though.
You just made me want to try the game. There’s absolutely no way it’s that hard and boss fights shouldn’t just be handed to you..? Lmao
@@tophfb It's a really fun and addictive game. Hope you get it.
That boss is a wimp, too easily killed
Ironically your voice is t relaxing at all my friend. But thanks for the video😊
My pleasure!
The problem with all DQ games is they are INSANELY easy to the point of the combat being mind numbingly boring.
Not really, DQ 8 is fairly difficult at times
Dude stop speaking every sentence like its a question, its so annoying
