    I'm going to try this as well with a remote and mirror up. I'm not sure yet if you are not also seeing the effects of vibration and shutter shake. In the video it looks like the camera is shaking a bit between shots. Also the depth of field is plus/minus 0.3 inches at 1.4 so much of what you are seeing at large aperture may just be the fall-off in focus.

      It’s been so long ago I couldn’t tell ya. But I’m fairly certain I was on a tripod. Either way still a bomb of a lens. Thanks for commenting

    Thanks for the test, very interesting. I suppose there's a scientific reason why mid range apertures always seems to be the sweet spots.
