There's a talent show in S.Korea called K-pop Star, Yedam participated in the 2nd season of it (I think that was in 2012) and he actually won second place (first place was AKMU if you know them). You should check out some of his old performances, he's talented and absolutely adorable! After the show ended. he signed with YG and he's been a trainee for around 7/8 years, he was/is considered to be like the top trainee there. He's also really smart, like smart smart and school smart, he gets ranked first in his class and that kinda thing. That's why he's a prodigy.

Hi kikilee a little fact byounggon (BX) and seunghoon from CIX and Woong from Ab6x
They are yg trainees. They trained along with bang yedam, choi hyunsuk, do young, jihoon and never forget midam, noa, and millenium (you don’t know midam, noa and millenium cause they departed from the group) . They were the most awaited debut team. And they were called the silverboys.
Yg revealed this boys junkyu, choi hyunsuk and byounggon (BX) to join his survival show which is called mixnine byounggon (BX) and hyunsuk was part of the debut team and junkyu didn’t make it. Suddenly the mixnine debut team didn’t make their debut.
Then theirs this straykids show where jyp trainees and yg trainees did a little friendly competition this is when yedam, do young, jihoon, seunghoon, woong, millenium and midam appeared they did a little performance and you should check out yadams cover of there’s nothing holding me back, it gained a lot of recognition and now has 30+ million views.
And now yg had another yg survival show that introduces more than 20 trainees (which is by the way is so precious) the every emotional survival show especially to the fans of silverboys cause EVERY SINGLE TRAINEE DESERVES TO DEBUT! Team A (the silverboys a.k.a the super longest trainees of yg. jihoon was not part of this team, i’ll go into that later) team b (all of the new trainees, this where jihoon came in, he was supposed to be part of team A but he left and comeback to yg again) team C (the youngest trainees like junghwan and jungwoo) and team j (the japanese trainees, also the longer trainees)
The soon to debut team what we call treasure are now
Hyunsuk, yoshinori, haruto,
Yedam, junkyu, mashiho, jungwoo
Jihoon, do young, junghwan, and jaehyuk.
Ha yoon bin was part of the treasure and they were originally 13 but he decided to part ways to pursue his dreams and follow the genre he wants. He’s a rapper by the way.
