Thank you Mesing Auto! This IS the video I was looking for! Changing the TPS and of course none of the other videos show it, just BS to try to get you to call a number and all I wanted to know was do I remove that coolant rail! I quickly realized the throttle body HAS to come off on this POS! The others act like it's accessible on the car. It fkn AINT! TY guys so much!
Hello there! I was wondering if this problem can cause the idle to go to 6k rpm when engine first start and stays there. After Star driving it it will accelerate like a car when it doesn’t shift then it jerks. Pls help. Any recommendations?
Agreed! Whatever we call it, "coolant rail" or "coolant bypass," that miserable pipe must be repositioned to be able to remove the throttle body. (applies to the GM Pontiac Montana, Venture, etc. too.... anything with this mechanic's nightmare 3.4 engine .... designed mainly to make gm mechanics $$$.... and why GM went down the tube. Kudos to MesingAuto for bothering to show this step. (ignored or avoided by every other video and shop book I've consulted)
3:13 ... what do those 2 hoses that are attached to the Bottom of the Throttle body do? They are connected to the Water pump heater Bypass tube assembly. I live in a warm climate, are they necessary for the throttle body, to pass warm water threw it. Thanks, Alfredo @ Texas, USA

I was able to change the TPS without taking the throttle body off no problem.
