I love this little sparrow . May dad was Aircraft Maintence Engineer with Indian Airlines . . Hyderabad , Indian was bass for this aircraft . And I travelled in this plan many tines until Boeing 737 and Caravelle was introduced in fleet .
Thanks hon for posting . We were living near airport . So the Avro HS 748 engine start and take off sound was regular
That is one LOUD airplane !
Simply superb...a treat for aviation enthusiasts...!! Thanks for sharing.. !!
My pleasure!
@@JetFlix the " older" generation of aircraft...they had " character". and so did their powerplants...today..very frankly when sitting in the airport lounge...I barely look at the tarmac / apron... literally all the aircraft look and sound the same...just in different colours / logos...a sad part of the changing aviation history one supposes...keep up the good work...please give us more gems like this content...!!! Take care and stay safe...
What a sweet plane. I flew Air North's HS748's to Dawson City this past August. Wonderful experience, great airline. Well worth the trip and expense.
I also flew on these between Trinidad and Tobago many times in late 70,s realy where superb little planes and the engine sound so nice happy memories
...simply the best song...
Awesome video!
HS748s and the F27 are the sounds of my childhood. use to fly them a lot with Mount cook airlines and Air New Zealand
AvGeek NZ actually Air North acquired most of their HS748 fleet from Mt. Cook when they were retired in the early to mid 1990s.
@@JetFlix good to know where they went.
The Trinidad and Tobago air bridge was serviced by these aircraft .
Wow I thought the Dash 8 100-300 have the best takeoff sound but the HS Avro 748 reminded me that it has the best turbo prop sound in the world (In my opinion). I can remember LIAT The Caribbean Airline flying those props back in the 80s/90s.
My first plane ride was on a Philippine Airlines HS-748 in the early 70s.
Joey K Philippine Airlines did indeed operated HS748s from the late 60s to the early or mid 1990s I believe.
Nice pics of the AVRO, I used to fly it in 1974 here in Argentina. We had six of them NIce memories
Ah, i remember for my first Flight ever, it was in January 1986 at CGN in a HS748 of DLT for a Roundtrip over Northrhine-Westfalia.
Thank You for sharing!
Greenish200 my pleasure glad you enjoyed my video.
I flew on this once on Royal Thai Air Force. Thanks for posting.
As a kid, I used to fly on one of these AVROs, that were operated by Linea Aeropostal Venezolana (LAV) from the mid 1960`s thru the early 1980`s, I wonder if this is one of these HS 748 sold to Air North by LAV. It looks in good shape.
TTAS (Trinidad and Tobago Air Service) used these for inter-island flights until the 1980s.
Remember flying in those in India in the 70's & 80's. They served Gallantly with Indian Airlines, IAF and Vayudoot...
Awesome video! Congrats!
niceeeee
love to fly it in fsx.
Vckers Vicount ..stand the hair on your arms up Dart power plants still got it
@88sandman Yep. I think the IAF must be still using them in remote areas of Kashmir, N E India.
