When he was on tear for the past 2-3 months, barely any basketball websites / youtubers talk about him or have him as top 3 MVP ( Jxmyhighroller is the only one who acknowledged him ). Joel gets all the love even after having a slow start to the season while Jokic is still consistent.

Not a great player that year, not an all star, but the actual MVP. He was almost 36yo when he won MVP. For reference, LeBron just turned 37 and started this season at 36yo.
If Lebron wins MVP at ~41yo given the changes in medicine/rules, it'll be roughly equivalent to Malone's 1999 MVP at 35yo.

The issue is the format for starters:
2 backcourt
3 frontcourt
The reason why Wiggins is starting instead of players like Dbook and CP3 is because he’s part of the frontcourt and those 2 are listed as the backcourt. With the frontcourt of the west so depleted, I’m not surprised that Wiggins is starting, but KAT and Gobert are having better seasons respectively.

At 38 Kareem Abdul Jabbar was good enough to win the finals MVP (1985 against the Celtics) He turned 38 in April of that year. 25/7 PPG -- 9.0 rebounds --

His stats for the regular season was 14.6 and 6.9 rebounds //// His post season averages were a little better as were his Finals numbers. This would have been the back to back year. We don't know Lebron's state at 40/ 41 because he isn't there yet. Lebron turns 38 this December so we will have to wait and see how he holds up. Barring injury he should win the Jabbar / James comparison. FYI -- the reason for the regular season versus age gap of a few years is Jabbar went to college. I don't know if he as it in the tank to achieve Jabbar's current record of oldest player to win a final's MVP -- that is a little more team dependent and somewhat beyond his control.

I have no problem with Ja being an All star, dudes a stud and is putty up solid stats. However, how are neither Booker or CP3 starting? CP3 is leading in assists and steals and Booker is putting up solid stats (over 20 ppg) while leading the Suns to the best record in the league. Idk, before Booker was dropping numbers with no wins and now he’s dropping great numbers and the most wins.
It makes no sense to have Wiggins starting over Booker or Doncic.
