@Shashwat well tbh I thought 14-15 was the last time he was an active dribbler whilst at Real Madrid. There were still those times in games of him going past 2 or 3 players with the ball . In fact one of the biggest examples of that I remember was the amazing dribble goal he scored against levante that season where he went past 2 players and scored.

Ronaldo in 2020 was in a different zone altogether, had his best season at Juve with 31 goals at a goal per match ratio close to 1. Was certainly lucky to not have got the ballon d'or since the award was tipped of that year and also Lewandowski was just too good particularly that year for Bayern. But the reply from a 35 year old ronaldo to his critics who considered him finished at 35 shall certainly remain as a very special memory to me and all Juve fans similarly

Ronnie is one of the greatest ever, but nah bro. Don’t compare midfield and dribbling to Messi. Way too much useless skill & wasted movement that don’t get you past the player as evident by the cuts.
And his passes are either not accurate enough or too hard to make the most of it. The difference is Ronaldo gives you a chance to finish after fighting for it and winning. Messi puts them on a plate for you, brings the ball in front of your feet while luring all the defenders too him. And bringing it at your feet with just the right speed.
Ronnie should be praised for the best in history headers and one of the best shots ever instead.

You do know Ronaldo has more assists than expected assists right? Meaning less clear cut big chances created than actual assists. Which is a bad thing.
For Ronaldo he mostly gets the accuracy down but not the power. His passes nearly always arrive with too much power. People need to adjust themselves to receive the ball, waste time doing so or need to make a rushed play and screw up the play. You need to work for it.
With Messi he delivers the ball perfectly at your feet with the ideal power behind it so it’s easy to receive and so you barely need to adjust your path/speed at all if its a through ball.
And also, showboating or not, it’s ineffective. Messi’s dribbling is that more effective and iseful to create chances combined with his passes.
