@@EnriqMSaenz WHY? Are you part of it? We all know he was murdered and now Julian Assange is being tortured for telling millions of people truth. The DOJ protested when Trump indicted him and then they quit. Now we have more corrupt people in place. Wow...we should all just STFU and stop trying to get him released.

Aaron was one of a kind. I can't believe it's been almost 10 years since his passing. It feels so strange growing old and realizing all the lives that could have been but are not here anymore- I feel that the world is missing so much potential but I guess that's just how it goes.

Even with Aaron dead, or especially with Aaron now dead, we must remain vigilant and honor his name and sacrifice. Net Neutrality is finally within our grasp, let's bring it home, FOR AARON!

I saw this in early 2013. It was ugly then and this young man gave his life, likely unwillingly, for it. They will come after the internet and our freedom on it again so this is certainly worth remembering and rewatching in my opinion and for sure, his efforts should be reengaged by all of us again when the powers that shouldn't be come at us sideways again

Since CNN is an old mainstream outlet, I doubt it would include Aaron Swartz as a nominee. However, I did just go there and filled out a nomination for him. While I was gathering info to put in the nomination form, I also learned that Aaron was the co-creator of RSS technology when he was just 14. His brilliance and activism are inspiring.

We are living in a decade that is not only extremely important but full of history in the making. To all the people saying he was murdered, he had a history going back over 5 years of depression, he wrote about it a lot and it was known. Don't shit yourselves, there's good reason to believe he was suicidal, people who suffer from depression can be great one day and the next feel like they have nothing to live for, with no ability to properly reason or realise the worth of their life. RIP to a great mind.
