MY BROTHER SAID HE NAME IS ROBERTO SHOTGUN CARLOS😂😂😂
Lol 🤣
😂just found this channel... You guys have badass reactions!💪🔥💥
@@lakersrdbest thanks my guy
@@dunsonhouse Can you guys react to Robert Lewandoski skills and goals? He's a monster! I think you guys would love it!😁
Barcelona Beast Samuel Eto’o striker, probably best African player of his continent Africa he is from 🇨🇲
Striker is a position, the striker is the guy up front - like R9 for example. Roberto Carlos was a left-back but he's also known as the player with the hardest shot ever. There is not really a word like "shooter" in basketball. You could say he is a long distance shooter
Players like him are also called the "Free-kick specialists" because of their ability to threaten the goalkeeper from every distance when there's a free kick.
@@alessandrom9438 he’s just a set piece specialist in general can bag a goal from almost anywhere, outside the box, corners and inside the penalty box
Driven shots
Ronald Koeman actually shot harder than Roberto Carlos
@@mattiasnilsson215 or Hulk...
Roberto Carlos actually played with Zidane, R9, Beckham and even a young Ramos at Real Madrid. They were known as the Galacticos. You guys should look into videos explaining the different positions. Would make you appreciate some players even more. Roberto Carlos successor is also a great LB. React to Marcelo when you get the chance
Not to mention he also played with romario, ronaldinho, rivaldo, kaka, adriano, cafu and other legends for Brazil ✌
And you forget Raul Gonzalez, Cicinho Guti Helguerra
Thats true!! Im was just being bias because I'm brazilian hahah there are many other legends we forgot to mention. In the end we can say they were lucky to have played with roberto carlos
@@mattiasnilsson215 no one remembered Figo 😢
@@richo1234 figo, guti, hierro, seedorf, panucci, suker, casillas, van nilsterooy, and so on 😂
This man inspired a generation of Full Backs to go forward and score goals. There were defenders that attacked and went forward, but he did it in a way he looked like a striker. Being put in full back when I was young he inspired me to try and do that in my game.
Full backs used to be the place to just fill up. But I think it is a very underrated position!
11:00 That's called an 'indirect free kick'. It doesn't happen often in football. It happens when a player of the same team passes the ball back to his goalkeeper and the goalkeeper picks it up with his hands. So if you're the keeper on my team and I pass you the ball with my feet on purpose, you can't use your hands or this situation happens.
Thats a 1 in 10 years play, never happens
Just to add, it can be given not only when you pass the ball back to the keeper, but also any other kind of infraction that doesn't involve contact like a regular 'foul'. For instance if the keeper holds onto the ball for too long, I've seen referee's give an indirect free kick. Or I've seen them give it for dangerous play. The rules even state it can be given for cases such as dissent but I've personally never seen this.
just to explain the execution: the team that's awarded possesion can do what ever with the ball except for scoring with one direct kick and the defending team has to keep free kick distance (10yds) until the team with the ball touches it. if the ball is already less than 10 yds. away to the goal line the defense has no other option but to form their defense under their own posts. That's why you see a wall of players standing right next to the goalkeeper. The most usual strategy in this cases for the offensive team is what happens in the video: one player moves the ball slightly for someone else to kick to goal. Now, the rules say touches but doesnt say they have to be from the same team so if you kick to goal and the ball hits an opponent before it goes in it does count. You could kick directly hoping ball hit someone and then go in.
Fun fact: In 2018, a peruvian player playing for his national team against Colombia thought he was awarded a free kick when it was actually an indirect free kick and he shot directly to goal. Thus if the ball had gotten inside, his goal would have not counted but Colombian goal keeper made a horrible mistake and touch the ball before it went in so it was a goal was awarded to Perú. That game ended in a draw 1-1 and thank to other results both teams qualified to the world cup.
Back pass
@@isaksidenius7059 It happens a lot in lower divisions
Carlos was left full back, meaning a defender that runs up and down a field a lot. He is kinda unique because of his incredible shot and many amazing long distance goals.
Don't know if u reacted to Juninho Pernambucano but you will love his videos. Greatest free kick taker in history with crazy amount of insane long distance goals.
He was more or less a fullback. He kinda invented modern left back playstyle
In football we don’t assign positions or names based on just one skill. He had a crazy hard shot and extreme shooting technique, but that was just icing on the cake. He was a fullback who had offensive capabilities. A striker is something different entirely:)
Ok thank you
@@dunsonhouse Also he was extremely fast, heard about 100m in just over 10,4 sec.
2:30 "Let me know how do you call a person with a strong shot"
We call'em "Roberto Carlos"
11:00 an old rule called an indirect free kick , it was given for things like obstruction, and sometimes for unintentional hand ball.
Its in direct so you cannot shoot from it, which is why they rolled it, but they changed this rules sometime ago, now all free kicks are direct , in that you can shoot from them.
The only kick I can think of you cannot shoot from is a "Kick Off" when you start the Game/half or restart after a goal has been scored, all other free kicks as far as I know including corners (attacking set play from the corner flag) and goal kicks (keeper restarting play) can be scored from
Its not at all an old rule, its just a rare occurence. There are still a lot of infractions that results in an indirect free kick, most related to the goalkeeper, like passing the ball to the goalkeeper and the GK getting the ball with his hand. Ofsides are also indirect free kicks, they never happen inside the box of your opponent tough.
@@DakonBlackblade2 spot on!!
In fifa he shot power 99 and childhood rules if u want play realmadrid 2005 never put roberto carlos position from left back to striker, if u do that no one wanna play with u
I’m Brazilian and my wife met Roberto Carlos on a beach in our hometown when she was around 8-10 years old.
She told me his thighs were much bigger than her 😂
Yes sir , another great video. Just wanna say Ronaldo phenomenon and Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos are my childhood hero.
Roberto Carlos is the best left back in history it’s crazy how he’s not mentioned amongst the best in history
If only you could hear those hits, they actually sound LOUD, everybody in the arena could tell it was Roberto Carlos.
Roberto played defense but he had tree trunks for legs - means he was deadly from long range like some sort of shiny headed, cement quad wearing sniper. He also was really good at putting insane curve and knuckle to his shots which lead to wild ball projection.
Carlos was a left defender. But his left foot was like a death sentence for the goalkeeper. :) Amazing player. When I was youger, I was an excited when I watch him on a football fields... His was AMAZING!!! He was not tall (defender will be) and he was extremely fast.
One of the most underrated player of all time. Everyone remerber the great striker or even a midfielder, because they scored much more goals in the carrer. Everyone knows Zidane, Romario, Ronaldino, Messi, Ronaldo, Beckham. But how many defender was playing like him? Fast and furious and astonishing left foot.
PS. Sorry for my English :)
He is the Goat of Left Back position (Defender) with a rocket for a strike, his goal against France defied physics!
Back in those days i used to spend my time looking at the faces of the players on the wall when Roberto Carlos was about the shoot. Those were real faces of terror.
any position can shoot, Carlos is a flying full-back who played in the left wing of the defense, so he was like a defender who helps starts attacks on the left side of the field. And also left footers have stronger shots than right footers.
I don’t think that’s true at all. Someone’s foot got nothing to do with their power. The best free kickers like Juninho and Beckham are right footed.
left foot player are normally more gifted to be honest
@@ghostirq right footers might be more accurate but I believe left footers have more power in their shots
@@justrandom24_7 Gerrard, Lampard, Zlatan, CR7, Ballack, Kroos, Juninho, David Villa, Totti, Pirlo, Forlan, Rooney. These guys all have some of the powerful shots ever and they’re all right footed.
@@FreshyRosay1 we might have more right footed players with powerful shots but remember only than 30% of all football players are left footed and a great percentage of the left footers have powerful shots…
Imagine that he played in an era with a lot of great long range shooters like Juninho Pernambucano, Rivaldo, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Steven Gerrard, Gabriel Batistuta, Francesco Totti, Gheorghe Hagi, Andrea Pirlo, David Beckham and many others that don't come to my mind now.
Ahhh Lampard? The best goal scoring midfielder in EPL history.
@@justlooking1087 Sorry, I forgot about him, even though he was one of my favorite players during that time. Lamps and Scholes had some wicked long shots :)).
@@shinyori Yeah, both legends of the game.
During the same area we can't forget about Seedorf and Adriano (also Zlatan of course)
Now who are we left with who scores free kicks consistently
Messi thats it
10:56 that happens when the keeper grabs the ball with his hands after a player from his own team passes it to him with his feet. The only way a player can pass the ball for the keeper to grab it is with the head or chest.
Roberto Carlos he has reputation of peeling off the net when he score his kicks are extremely explosive Brazil produced high glass footballers generation to generation see them on World Cup my goodness is like they’re dancing but the most good thing about them players they have one thing in common their not aggressive.
❤❤❤❤
Big up fam
Yessirrrrrrrr hala madrid brothers✊🏽💯🔥
Man this channel is underrated bro...🤜🤛 Cheers from Portugal
Thanks my guy
That 1 freekick against France still is probably my favorite goal of all time
the feared short dude Carlos was so fun to watch
Striker is a position usually a player who is at the front of the formation.
Roberto Carlos is a Left-Back but he takes Madrid's free kicks back in the day because of his shot power and precision. He's what you call a Free-Kick Specialist. :D
Man I love you guys. I’ve been trying to put Americans on when it comes to football. It’s so amazing and so disrespected in the states
They didn’t call Roberto Carlos the Rocket 🚀 for no reason, you are watching why they call him the Rocket , he revolutionized his position, the best left back ever!
Very nice video !
Striker is a forward who typically plays as a center forward. Roberto Carlos was a defender/fullback who was a long distance free kick specialist.
This man had thighs like a body builder. So much power it was scary.
A person that shoots like that, is called a Legend ‼️
ROBERTO CARLOS!🇧🇷💪🏽
Got to admire that free kick against Scotland..... Damn...... 🔥💥
He's not a Striker)
Roberto Carlos is a Left Full Back, or a Left Wing back (basically the left side of the defence , usually 4 wide) he is a very attacking example though, of a Fullback/Wing back, some could argue the likes of R.Carlos, and Cafu (imo the greatest full back of all time) were the OG modern Full backs.
The position has become more and more attacking in recent years, and you now see teams like Man City and even more so Liverpool, using these players almost like extra slightly deeper attackers. Having said all this , they ARE defenders, so no they are not Strikers
Forwards, Strikers and Attackers:
In football you have Attack, Midfield and Defence as the 3 main area's in a team formation.
specifically Strikers are Centrally based and the furthest forward attacker.
You have Forwards, all Stikers are a form of Forward, but not all Fowards are strikers.
*You get Wing Forwards, who are very attacking wide players (Messi used to be this and Salah is currently this, Mbappe Too)
*You have Center Forwards, like R9 who was an all round player and strong and fast , but could also dribble and finish, and he was in his younger days a Center Forwrad, and all round attacker that played in the middle high up the pitch, Haarland is this currently
*Then you have Strikers. Lewandowski is a striker , Romario was Striker, R9 as he got older became a Striker rather than a center Forward, this is when the Attacker starts to specialise most in goal scoring and their positioning reflects that, they start to stay out of build up play and wait to get chances a lot closer, Aguero is a another good example of this, Suarez too (Suarez was a Center Forward for Liverpool, but became a Striker for Baracelona)
*Then you have "False 9's" or "second Strikers", this is what Messi and Firmino are now ("false 9's") and players like Bergkamp and Berbatov were (although they were playing with other strikers , so they were called "second strikers")
These players are almost the oppositie of Strikers, they focus far more on the build up , but still look to score big numbers, their positioning is usually deeper so they can pick up the ball and move it/dribble it
*Lastly you have Wingers , who are not forwards, or strikers......but they are 100 % attackers. These players are usually like Wing forwards, and play in very similar positions, the main 2 differences to a wing Forward, are 1) they focus far more on assisting than scoring themselves, and 2) and this is what makes them not a Forward but still an attacker, they have to track back and do some kind of defensive work. Now all this gets quite murky because you have players like Salah and Mane for Liverpool , who ARE wing Fowrads ..but also do track back, I would argue that Mane and Salah are WIng Forwards because they are usually far further up the pitch at most times, as a Winger retreats with his team even if the threat is not on his side, the WIng Forwrads doe s not, they stay high to provide an out ball if the defence gets the ball back
I know this is hella info, but I have hopefully explained the subtle differences between some of these positions and hopefully that helps you grasp what the fuck crazy asshole that love this game (like e hahaha) are on about, and remember these are just the types of attackers ,and there are sub sets in each these, and different ways to do it
Much love you guys, the reactions are great
For sure you guyz need to also check out PEPE. real madrid defender. Legend.
his shot is so powerful that there was once it hit the wall in a freekick the opposition player that got hit went down to his knees and puked
muito bom !!!
You should react to "Robinho Football Circus ► SHOCKING Skills & Tricks"
He was supposed to become the best player in the world and signed for Real Madrid at a young age but he had a really bad attitude/mentality so he never reached the top and ultimately flopped. He was really good early in his career at Real Madrid and was very similar to Ronaldinho.
The Power in his shots was unreal...
Roberto Big Shooter Carlos
Defender, and he himself is a free kick specialist. Not to many in the game like him. You should also react to his Brazilian team mate Juninho the man couldn't miss pure class
By a miracle nobody died by one of his free kicks when he was a player haha!
I would be scared af if I was a goalkeeper and this beast is going to shoot at my direction 😁
New subscriber
Thanks my guy
Thank you! Some wonder goals is what I’m talking about!!!! Now Steven Gerrard lads! If Carlos is shotgun…..stevie G is bazooka!
That pitty pat before he shoots i always say he reloaded twice for that one shot haha. He had one of the most powerful shots in history and the dude is only 5'6.
Your brother is absolutely right, Roberto Carlos had a CANNON instead of a left leg lol. I remember seeing players nervous when they made the barrier when RC had a freeshot xD
Thanks for the comment
Love the vids! You should watch a video about the positions on the field, then u would get a deeper understanding👌🏻
Respect to those defenders that's STANDING as a WALL when he takes free kick 😁
Roberto Carlos was awsome...Like a modern version of Gerd Muller...thinking of the power in his shot, since Gerd didn't do Freekicks.
Roberto’s Carlos is left back (left defense) so that’s why most of his shots are from far he also has a very hard foot but striker is only a position
His basically like corner back in nfl but that also plays wide receiver but at the same time and what makes him special is the fact he shoots like that but he plays in position where defending is his main job because typically left backs don’t normally be this good
Nooo the best goal was cut out because of copyright
football is simple..doesnt need to be a certain position on the pitch, any player can take a freekick but this guy...this guy can take a cracking freekick...
Imagine being a keeper and seeing Zidane, Beckham and Roberto on the ball to shoot lol 😂… there was a time where that actually happened lol ..
You should do a video learning the positions and his function, love your reactions
Left footed footballers are a cheat code. The ball just flies off their foot like a nuclear weapon.
lol facts
Best left bake in hestory he had super strong left foot
He played with Backam,Ronaldo,Figo,Zidane,Guti yet he kicked majority of the freekicks that should tell you how special Carlos is especially to be taking freekicks ahead of Beckham simply means you are the best
my favourite left-back of all time, he is tough in defense also
The wall even dodged the shot🤣🤣🤣🤣
he was also called him "cañoncito pum" ,what it means something as "little canyon boom!" i think :D
We don't have nothing like a shooter in football it is a technique and anybody in the team can posses it. Roberto Carlos is one of them, Stephen Gerald, Paul scholes and many more... this is a asset in any team
7:16 one of the greatest goals ever vs France spinning the ball around exactly in to the right corner "licking" the goalpost !
Roberto is the king of shooting
BRASIL, só tinha os melhores era uma seleção de ferro, hj só tem mocinhas desfilando em campo.
One of the best left backs in history if not the best
“Striker” usually refers to a position; forwards are also called strikers. But someone with a fantastic shot, regardless of what position they play, can be described as “a good striker of the ball.”
Roberto Carlos is a left wing back. People who play this position are not often known for having a great shot. They often are speedy, fit and need to be great crossers of the ball. But Roberto Carlos was one hell of an exceptional LWB.
His kicking power was so much, putting your body to stop it could cause body scars
with his free-kick against France, he was tricking physics!
Carlos was LB. Left back. Its a defensive position but often they move forward. You can say he was a freekick specialist for which u dont need to be from a specific position
When I was a kid we played football in the neighborhood and I was the keeper. An older kid ran up to take a shot, screamed 'ROBERTO CARLOSSSSS' shot the ball directly at me and broke my hand bro, I never liked Carlos since smh
Brazil had a tradition of canon ball players, Rivelino, Eder Aleixo, Nelinho, Roberto Carlos and what is currently playing is the Hulk. They don't have a specific position, it's a natural skill put to good use except for one detail they all share. All are left-handed. There must be a scientific explanation for this, but left-handers have a very strong kick.
THE BEST BOMBER OF ALL TIMES; HANDS DOWN; DESPITE HE'S A DEFENDER
Besides the power applied to the ball when kicking it, Roberto Carlos will add a spin to it giving an awkward trajectory which was hard for any goalkeeper to predict the path of the ball.
7:14 Is one of the best examples. The ball curves from right to left, but it also goes up and down. France goalkeeper didn't move because he was not expecting the ball to curve that much.
There is also a video from Roberto Carlos titled Impossible goal. I think it goes more in details the things he does to score this type of goals.
Roberto Carlos impossible soccer goal explained. (Good Quality) - RUclips
Roberto Carlo is a Brazilian first thing first, he played for many clubs included Inter Milan etc
100 mph shoot. Really insane shooter.
At min 11:05, that is when there is some kind of fould inside the box but had no physical contact, for example, he used an ilegal manover to obstruct the oponent to get to the ball. So in that case it's considered an indirect free kick, the ball can't be shooted directly, that's why you see another player touching the ball right before he shoot. Now if it had physical contact it would've been a penalty kick instead of that.
a striker is a forward. Roberto was a defender but he was called that he had a bazuca or rocket on his leg.
left backs are the best free kick takers (not many of them now)
but mihajlovic and roberto carlos were the two best examples.
I have 3 names for you guys to react, Kakà, Andrea Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf. They all played for AC Milan, the second club in Europe for number of Champions League won. Until 15 years ago Real Madrid vs AC Milan was a super classic
11:01 Eso se llama CESIÓN, cuando el portero recibe el balón de un compañero con el pie con intención
his legs r huge, no wonder he has so much power
Praise the players standing as wall in front of Roberto Carlos
If he hasn’t been requested already definitely check out my man Thierry Henry. Played for Arsenal & Barcelona. The best player ever I grew up watching IMO :)
strongest legs of all time in football, legend
This guy was a defender. A Left Back to be precise
best striker in the game
hey Kidd Dunson... I've been following your reactions and they r lit. Football is the greatest sport ever man... anyways, I would like you to react to "Exactly How Good Was Jay Jay Okocha!" he was there even before Ronaldinho his skill were insane bro our African Ronaldinho
Yall should check out the Quarter Back of Football. Andrea Pirlo. A true Maestro and Articulate passer of the Ball from Deep to make things happen
You should react to Juninho next he played in France many years and had what i would say is the Best kick of all time. Reberto Carlos is top 5 for sure but he was a more flash kicker, Juninho with his knuckle Ball was just a straight killer!
2:30 - Any player in soccer can be a free-kick taker, it doesn't necessarily have to be a striker. Some defenders can be good free-kick takers, and even some goalkeepers (in this case, Rogério Ceni, a former goalkeeper who is now a soccer coach, was the official free-kick taker for São Paulo team and scored 131 goals in his entire career, a world record, there has never been a goalkeeper like him). In Roberto Carlos' case, he was a left-back, a position in soccer that belongs to the line of defense (but he was an offensive left-back. This position allows for this, depending on the player's characteristics. Some left-backs are more attacking and others are more defensive, the use of one or the other is a coach's choice, but in general terms, left-backs or right-backs have an obligation to help out more in defense! The fullbacks have to have more stamina to run long distances)!
It's not like in American football, where there's a person who kicks the ball over those bases, who practically only comes onto the pitch to do this (Punter)!
3:39 This missing goal against Tenerife was one of the greatest goals of his carrer and you couldnt react. If you have a chance just watch it .Its out of this world.
"What a player that shoots is called"? Son, if he shoots like a cannon and aim like a sniper, he is called Roberto Carlos. Cheers!
Roberto Carlos' left foot was a gun and the ball a bullet.
Players were shitting their pants when they saw him ready to sho(o)t.
