Question-is there a minimum distance between the end of the guide to the end of the section? I place a guide, did the farthest wrap and realized I’ve got 1/4” from the end of the guide to the end of the section. Is that too close? Thanks, and I know where I’m shopping now. Got my first kit for a build class with a club, but I’m going to do more! Your site is awesome. 🤩

Excellent video. I realized while watching this, that instead of cutting the black thread when the guide is wrapped, I am referring to the tag end of the trim band between the feet of the guide, the black thread could also be spiraled under the guide to the trim band at the end of the other foot. All that is needed is to reuse the masking tape. Then wrap the opposite foot, next do the trim band. I will try this on my next rod.
