Involving kids in sports, arts and not just in academics is a key to battle drug addiction. Giving them motivation and inculcating discipline can be very much helpful. The kids nowadays are subjected to more stress and peer pressure than earlier times and getting caught with drugs is much easier.
Maam, I think coolleaf is the beginning of drugs habit, so this kind of lights drugs should be strongly controled in each and every schools as well in society with the help of different social society and police personnel. Unemployment will be the one factor and parents careless another factor.
There is a case study about drug addiction among youth in Dharavi, a slum in Mumbai. Initially, many young people began using drugs because they idolized others who were already addicted. Over time, this led to widespread addiction. One young man decided to tackle this problem by introducing football to children in the community. His idea was to create positive role models through sports, so children would shift their admiration away from drug abusers. This initiative brought a significant change in the lives of Dharavi’s youth. I believe that simply detaining drug users is not an effective solution. Solutions to drug addiction should not follow a top-down approach. Instead, they must involve the drug abusers themselves to understand their needs and perspectives. A top-down approach may unintentionally create more problems, as it often relies on assumptions. While designing solutions, it is essential to ask, “Why is this problem happening?” and address the root causes effectively.
The outside influence can destroy the Ladakhi society. Especially in times when we are left with very limited laws to protect ourselves, the condition is even more alarming.
nice repoter keep it up, we should more and more awareness in our society, our govt. should organise various games, tournament in our society to procure our youths, our youths are the future our nation, ok all the best...
To curb drug related in a specific locality specially like Ladakh which has a very small number of addicts and beginners. The sooner it's controlled the better. Long time addicts should be lift from the streets ASAP so not to influx the new addicts or encourage new users. And for the Psychology thing show me one data or a Psychiatrist who has cured his/her client completely. Its a loop never ending. In the name of treatment they feed the same drugs sometimes even worse. So take care of your kids , brothers, mother's, father's cos everyone can be hooked on anything legal or illegal.
Drugs is silent killer. Can't be cleared if not at earliest. Youth must be given well coullnceling. Where demand is zero supply will be automatically zero....
As per my source some students studying in chandigarh were the part time peddlers in the summer season.
