    that was like the best teaching of oil change ever ROBIN change it oil my life I'm 53 I'm a certified mechanic that was very explanatory to do this for a living as a teacher. The stabilizers are important. If you love, your vehicle are usually put a fuel stabilizer in first, then fill the tank, but really doesn't make a whole lot of difference as long as the tank is full. I'm looking for your other videos I love watching videos about vehicles. Have a beautiful blessed day.👍🏻👍🏻💥

    Not sure if you realized but you checked the transmission fluid. The oil dipstick is the yellow one by the cap where you put the oil in.

    6:10pm I live in Florida and there's no way any 0w20 can be able to hold up with this heat. Especially in a V8 5.3L!!

    I like to use a fuel stabilizer first and filter tank. It really doesn't make any difference but you must fill the tank.

    If i have a stubborn oil filter and filter wrenches i have don't work, i just pierce the old filter with a screwdriver and twist it out-just a tip.

    I've never used a stabilizer but I will now. So the last quarter doesn't have to be oil, if the stabilizer is used?

  • @ChrisCas22

    i never used a oil stabilizer on any of my cars and had no issues. Also i use a non dexos oil and the car is still running fine.

      I started using the oil stabilizer about 5 years ago people say it Extends the life of your oil a bit longer thats all.

    I’m pretty sure you were checking the transmission fluid level at the end of the video, not the engine oil level?

    Woah dude! DO NOT PUT LUCAS OIL STABILIZER IN THAT ENGINE!!! You thickend the oil on an engine that is made to run a thinner oil. That could lead to oil starvation. Bad idea.

    • @fixitwithdavid4698
      @fixitwithdavid4698  Год назад +1

      Oh really thanks for the heads up.

    • @andrewpiasecki43

      You're absolutely right. And further more he just turned 0W20 into 20w50!

    • @andrewpiasecki43
      @andrewpiasecki43 2 месяца назад

      These super thin oils are designed for colder temps so they can flow to the top of the engine, but in a tropical environment 10W30 synthetic is barely thick enough.

    • @andrewpiasecki43
      @andrewpiasecki43 2 месяца назад

      The m most important factor of oil is the conditions it will used for. Simple, the colder the lower vis. The warmer the higher vis. This is true for both synthetic and conventional oils.
