As bad as these predictions were, when it comes to the teammates, the only one you got wrong was Hamilton beating Russell and you certainly wasn’t alone in that.
Bottas P17 looks bad but Alfa overperformed initially so it’s understandable, however Gasly P7 and Latifi P14 are two that even before the season you could see weren’t gonna happen.
So all in all, I gotta say this is by far the worst predictions video I’ve seen Tommo 😭

Predicting the team performance seems much harder than driver performance. Same thing with Aldas's video. I guess that makes sense because there are much more variables in the team performance, car performance, pit stops, strategy, reliability etc. and it depends on hundreds of people. Drivers make mistakes and get lucky for sure but 22 races seems to be enough to balance out the outlier results.

yes overall in the second half of the season the aston martin were level on pace with alpine. but if you take out monza (where alpine was a tractor), then alpine was faster over the second half of the season

The “Ferrari Master Plan” is a beautiful phrase.
I like the idea of doing predictions after testing. Doing it before is just pointless. I don’t see a reason to not do one before testing and then a reaction and update after testing like “doesn’t look like this one is gonna happen” and then a reaction after the season ends.

Honestly I remember seeing the prediction on alphatauri and thinking "what the hell is he smoking"
Don’t know if you care, but here are some suggestions to recreate the look of your old lighting-setup. Consider painting the wall darker. You could also use some “negative fill” - aka some black material to create more shadow on one side of your face. Changing the color temperature of your light to something warmer might help as well. Great video!

I had a lot of faith in McLaren going into 2022. They started 2021 out strong but were defeated by Ferrari in the end (I thought that McLaren switched early and that's why Ferrari got 3rd, and why I had high hopes). After the first pre-season test I still had hope, but then came Bahrain and the melting brakes. After that, I just hoped that McLaren doesn't finish last in the standing at the end of the year.
TBF a major reason Zhou finished as low as he did because his car couldn't stop breaking down in the early part of the season, which was when the Alfa was at it's most competitive - it wasn't just because he was a rookie.
even with out the retirements he'd have 6pts. not like he was in top 10 bar (Silverstone which was lap 1) he also got lucky with SC in monza, alonso's pen in canada and ocon tangling with mick in race 1. bottas had his own retirements early on too.
This was great, in hysterics during parts of these reactions. Onwards and upwards for 23’ Tommo lad 😂

Next year when you do the trowback to your predictions don't cut out your reasoning from the original predictions. This way to me at least it kind of defeats the purpose of a rewatch/reaction. Never the less I enjoyed it, tnx for the content all season long, you rock!

Calling the williams car mid is like calling me a millionaire: overinflating value like crazy. The Williams was shocking at tracks without insane straights
The reason for perez being close in the start is bc the car was heavy and understeery, this reduces skill gap

Can't wait to see 2023 line up predictions. I think the season overall is going to be one hot pile of disappointments over and over for several teams/drivers. With changes from FIA and budget caps, new tracks/conditions we're going to see teams getting lucky one week only to fall apart the next. It should keep the title fights more spread out and leave more drivers/teams in the running vs a blowout like 2022.

Hey! Look at testing, here's how the season's gonna go!
Some fun little stats: Tommo was on average 3.5 positions off. Sounds like quite a bit, but its actually a lot. For comparison: if you predict the exact opposite of the finishing result (so GOATifi WDC and Max in the mud in P20), you will be only 10 positions off on average, which I think is the absolute worst you can do. Being this close to that number can tell you all about the quality of Tommo's crystal ball (it isn't great).
Ooh yeah, I want to see my Google Docs I filled for Chainbear's prediction.
In my predictions the only thing I got right was Lando in P7. Also in my constructors predictions I got 0 correct 😭. Don’t worry Tommo it happens to the best of us 😂

I remember when testing was going on and EVERYONE and their mother was jumpin on the Ferrari hype train, including all the F1 content creators, not just Tommo. My fellow Vettel fans with a decent memory will know, Ferrari are an expert at bottling a title that could've been their's. I had my heart broken back to back in 2017-18, so to be honest I saw the results from Ferrari coming.
Tommo and Ben Daly really compete for the worst predictions possible.

What I see here is that you simply rated the Williams and Alphatauri cars too high before the season started. If you had those two teams rated lower several of your other predictions would have been either spot on or very close to being spot on :).
The crazy part is that, outside of your overly confident Williams and Alphatauri predictions, I agreed with nearly all your predictions when you made them. Don't let hindsight kick your ass. Except with Williams though, that was easy to spot.

Biggest L is Alpha Tauri, they didn't develop their car enough. I don't know where the money went. Mercedes, Alpine, Redbull, Ferrari and Mclaren can bring update after update, something is wrong with with that AT team

Tommo pretending his predictive abilities are bad while both he and most intelligent people know that they are off because he wanted them to be controversial. Only slightly though so that it doesn't stick out too much.
There was a lot of chatter in the media that AT had a very smooth off-season last year and that they had no issues designing the car. They really did worse than expected. Williams being last was pretty clear for me. They only scored 8th in the 2021 WCC by having great luck at a few races. Other than that, last years car wasn't that great and there is probably a lot of change going on in the background with their relatively new investors. Especially regarding the recovery from the saving measures they had to implement during the past few years.
Btw: Inspired by your prediction video, a few friends and me did our own predictions for the WDC and WCC. We then held a small competition and tracked the standings after every round by summing up the prediction / placement difference for each driver / team. I just wanted to mention that you would have scored dead last with those predictions :^) But good luck with next years prediction.

Predictions for constructors 02/03/2022
1. Ferrarri - most insane looking aero after the redbull
2. Mclaren - has had the best pace at testing
3. Red Bull - Adrian has found something with those side pods that will keep them up there
4. Mercedes - the weakest looking design of the top 4
5. Aston Martin - Aero Package looks very similar to the Ferrari
6. Alpha Tauri - Tsunoda will improve and Gasly will get a race win
7. Alpine - mid field will be tight from P5 - P9 will be a spread of 40 points max
8. Williams
9. HAAS - i think the current tensions will force Haas to cut ties with uralkali and the lack of funding will mean they cant keep up
10. Alfa Romeo - will still score points but will be down on the overall car package compaired to the other teams
