Randyll Tarly's is epic. And yes, he was right about Sam.
"The war of the Ninepenny Kings, they called it. Though I never saw a king or earned a penny." I still hate D&D for not including the full "Broken Men"speech.

I already have. Except its not 2 dimenisonal. There are also perks you can enable for each character. The mountains perk would be his giant 2 handed sword he wields in 1 hand easily. Rob/Jon's would be using direwolves alongside them, arthur daynes would be dual wielding and anyone with a valeyrian steel sword would be them using theirs. Eurons would be a valeyrian steel platebody that makes body hits do nothing.

Yeah, but why the hell would the Lord of this land, or the Master of Ships, or heck the King himself, be squatting around the filth like a common footsoldier?
They'd probably require some good explaination like you're the youngest son of a Lord who spends most of his time on horseback adventuring. Or you're like Euron Greyjoy, sailing the high seas, or maybe a Tarly hunting...
Actually come to think of it, maybe I'm wrong. But still, most of Game of Thrones take place in courtrooms, not the open landscape.

That was the same adjective used in Catelyn's POV to describe the knight who defeated Loras in the melee before she realized she was a woman.

Man, since HBO is already talking about a GOT spin off (most likely the dunk and egg stories) they should totally consider doing a whole season on just the histories and the lore, with each sherlock style 1,5 hour episode covering a specific timeline (first men invasion vs the children of the forest, andal invasion, long night and the WW, aegon's conquest, dance of dragons, targ reign). But this probably won't happen since it would be too expensive

Thea The Genius That is a great idea. There are so many great stories set in GRRM's world. A series of short adaptations of these tales would be awesome. Dunk and Egg is a great story, but hardly worth a whole series. They could do it in a few episodes and also do the dance of dragons, the defiance at Duskendale, or Robert's Rebellion. These stories would be amazing to see made with the budget HBO spends on GoT.

nope I remebered when we were first introduced to Tywin(when he skinned the dear), and already there I got the feeling there was more to him. It was obvious he cared for Tyrion from the start, and just because he can't fight anymore, does not make him useless. I gotta a feeling, he has a BIG role to play in the next season, and I will be rooting for him:)

    • @munkebo96
      @munkebo96 8 лет назад +2

nico olsen Of course he felt that way - i mean he was forced into the kingsguard instead of being heir to house Lannister. He has always had a strange brotherly love for Tyrion, but other than that he used to be an arrogant piece of shit.
But it DID make him useless. He was a kingsguard who couldn't fight, and that's why he got a lot more humble and likeable.
Don't get me wrong, i really do like Jaime, but that doesn't mean that he didn't use to be a huge cock.

FLGSC Well you can say ut is a betrayal and they swore fealty to house gardener. They could have made the choice to not give up the castle and fight to the death, but they didn't because they were smart, but not honourable. What if a Lannister Army happens to march into the Reach and claim the Tyrells are good as dead. Who's gonna stop Randall Tarly if he does the same and is offered the position of warden of the south?

Michael Sieberhagen maybe the "Queen Of Thorns" names someone. She does have an alliance with Dorne, Varys and Dany. She's cunning and pragmatic, she's got to know Cersei has it out for her, she'll want to deliver one last kick in head . Even from the grave. So maybe she appointments someone.

Tywin and Randyl Tarley placed the same value on legacy, but Tywin would have put Sam's intelligence to good use. Tywin recognized Tyrion's intellectual gifts even as he despised him. Randyl didn't even know what he had, he could have been a real rival for power in the Reach.

@@mahoganysqueeze I couldn’t agree more. The problem with Randal Tarley is that House Tarley has a legacy as pure soldiering and they revel in this history and identity. As a result, Randal never thought in political terms and couldn’t see the value in Sam since he and the Tarleys on value martial prowess and demonstrated valor. It’s a warning against being myopic I think.

To be a great actor is to be a great narrator. You must be able to tell the story, or even a portion of the story to the audience. This is the "trick" of how you fill in the blanks and details that a book is very full of, yet fit it into a TV series or a movie. Shakespeare did this a lot with his plays, although he'd drown his audience in words. Every actor/actress should enjoy a good storytelling, parents love telling stories to their kids...

First Men King Robar II Royce claimed Lady Forlorn after slaying Qyle Corbray, the Andal King of the Fingers. Robar wielded this Lady Forlorn during the Battle of the Seven Stars, using it to kill Torgold Tollett and a decoy dressed as Ser Artys Arryn. The Corbrays claim that Ser Jaime Corbray slew Robar in the battle, allowing them to reclaim the original Lady Forlorn. At the time of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, Lady Forlorn was wielded by Ser Gwayne Corbray of the Kingsguard. During the Battle of the Redgrass Field Gwayne fought Daemon Blackfyre, who wielded the Valyrian sword Blackfyre. Eventually Daemon defeated his enemy. An unnamed Lord Corbray wielded Lady Forlorn during the Battle of the Trident in 283 AC. When Lord Corbray was wounded, his younger son, Lyn, took up the sword and killed the man who had wounded his father. Lyn then led the charge against the Dornishmen and killed Prince Lewyn Martell of the Kingsguard. Because of this feat the sword was left to Lyn instead of the elder Lyonel Corbray when their lord father died.

The plural of story is stories, not story's.
The apostrophe between the Y and S in story's indicates either contraction ("This story's great!" Story + is), or is used to indicate a possessive ("This story's characters are unbelievable." The characters of this story.)
