- Saucony really knocked it out of the park with the all-new Saucony Tempus. They actually made a fun stability shoe with all the pep that a PWRRUN PB midsole should bring. Available now for $160.

is this good for High Arch foot runner? and underpronators? hope someone would comment if you have this kind of foot... I hope someone would honestly step up or a high arch foot in the U.S or any where in the globe that have used this shoe..
Can you explain why someone would need a “stability” shoe and if these are comfortable for heel strikers running between 10km - half marathon distances?
I bought these based on this review and I’m well happy with em. Been plodding along in kayanos for years and if your a support shoe user looking for a little more spring in your stride these are superb and well worth a look. Size wise they come exactly as Asics do too. Great review guys. Nice one
Is it more lighter than gel kayano?
I purchased a pair. Super comfortable, light and I can pick up the pace. I will definitely be wearing them for my Sept half!
Good luck in your race!
Just tried them yesterday and very happy.
I took these running shoes ( Tempus ) out for a run this morning. Before I give my opinion, I am flat footed as they come, I’m also healing from a pulled groin muscle so off I went. I had not noticed that I had run 4 miles. My feet felt great, total 8 miles. I will definitely be purchasing another pair. I’ve waited a long time for these.
Did the arch bother you?
@@asphethl no they did not, and not only do I have flat feet they are narrow. I use double socks, it works for me. I also added the new balance 860v12. Excellent the bottom are more rugged both of these work no pain. I use them for just running.
Definitely going to get it. Thanks.
Enjoy, it's a great shoe!
I love my Tempus's!!! So light and the cushion and support is one of the best bar none!!!
Good morning believe in the run and all the runners. !!!Today 2 vídeos!!! Here is my like. !!!SAUCONY FOR EVER!!!!!. A nice day for everyone. ☀️🏃♂️☀️
Two runs in and i luv it
I feel like this is the midsole the endorphin shift needs.
Correct
The 2022 shift isn't going to have power run PB unfortunately.
Tested this shoe and it ran very short to me. Sizing up and heel started slipping. Hopefully this is a fit for others as it has got very good reviews!
It’s a snug fit by design. It should loosen up a bit once broken in.
I can't wait for mine to arrive. I'm looking forward to using this shoe daily.
That was one long bloopers 😂 love them.
A+A+A+ this is a really good shoe.
Just bought my second pair of these, excellent, excellent shoe. Love the slight bit of stability, the slightly narrower heel, the slightly wider fore foot, the slightly higher arch. Seems like maybe the tongue could be a little thicker, but its not really an issue, I think they kept it thinner for ventilation. An I would have preferred if the sock liner was made of PB rather than the standard foam.
But this is an awesome shoe.
I think they should also make a max version 'distance day' version, with a taller midsole while retaining the same proportions of the foams. They could call it the "Tempus Maximus" (no charge to sacouny for using that name!). Highly recommend this shoe, its a winner.
would the shoe still fit with orthetics sole? i am really clueless after trying so many shoes. but the orthetics sole is tichker , and i get heel slippage all the time , or my foot is too high the shoe cuts off the veins on top
@@orborbea9844 i run it with a currex insole, no problem
Hi, could you please answer the following questions...1. Which of the Hoka Arahi 6 or Saucony Tempus is more stable for someone who pronates inwards excessively? 2. Which of those shoes has the stiffer rocker? I dont have stores near me to try these and trying to figure out which one to go for. Thanks.
Anybody remembers the Adidas Tempo? Lightweight + stability. Adidas should bring it back.
Favorite shoe for fast long runs. Could easily handle 20+ miles with 10+ miles at 5:40/mile pace. Had like 5 pairs of the Tempo 9.
Would you say another way to describe this shoe is a Ride 15 with pwrrun pb added to it?
I have worn it and it is not
Take it from the guy above me who wore it obviously^^^ but if anything I’d say it’s closer in BUILD to a guide 15, including having an 8mm drop but the feel of the shoe is far springier with the pwrrunpb - and of course the guide and the tempus are both stability while the ride is neutral
I dumped my Brooks Adrenaline GTSs for the Saucony Tempus in September and never looked back. I am due for a new pair. Does anyone know if/when the Tempus v2 will be released?
What’s the difference in feel between those two?
I couldn't wait for this shoe with all the excitement but when I put it on, it didn't give me the medial support or stability I was expecting. I'm unique but it just didn't fit my weird, narrow, terribly pronated feet. (even wearing my orthotics) the forefoot was also a little wide to accommodate my foot. I think many will still like the shoe.
Like this kind of suggestion, green or not green. But, why or try, rather than any scoring system
Bought a pair. I do not run. The way the sole feels on the bottom of my foot is what sold me. Felt like it spread the weight from the heal to the ball. With less weight on the toes until more into the walking stride.
These guys are stoned to the bone
😂😂😂 they really are not
There soooo baked hahah
Fully baked 😵💫🤭🤫
Thanks for the review guys. I just bought a pair - I’ll be back with some thoughts
WELL?
Interesting shoe... back in the day i would use a saucony omni, that shoe felt like a brick under my feet it was so heavy. I'm happy to see stability shoes especially Saucony going a different route
My last one was the Omni19 and I have to admit, that version just ended me for traditional stability. It was so hard underfoot! Hopefully this Tempus works for most of us...
@@michaeltanel3815 well did it work out for u?
The pulltap, is nice for triatlon. Transition bike > run. Nice review again, keep it up guys!
this shoe seems good, but i don't know about the price point. I'm wondering what other shoes are similar to this.
How does it compare to Gel Kayano?
Tempus or Speed 3? I heard the Speed 3 is also much more stable than the Speed 2. Is it close to the stability of the Tempus?
It all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day
Description says it's $140, sadly the MSRP is $160.
Sorry about that, we'll fix it!
Can I use this as a daily trainer like for easy runs only?
Absolutely
Maybe not only...? Long runs aswell🤟
Could u use this shoe for my long run, I'm training to break 2h50 in the marathon and my long run is 20 miles @6.45 pace? Thx
Hey guys looking for some help. The comment about the material at the front of the toes rolling down is an issue I’ve had with lots of models. I can’t find much info on this problem online and just wondered anyone can share some insights? Is it incorrect sizing or is it just a personal foot shape problem?
Hi belive i the run can this be used by a High arc foot runner?
It's sounds like the Glideride that is neutral but also stable.
How do these compare to the somewhat stability Vomero 16?
This is a true stability shoe. The Vomero has a neutral platform with some natural stability from a firmer heel.
is the toebox wider than the speed 2, or about the same? Thank you.
Wider
Daily trainer or Tempo shoe? How does it compare to Ride 15?
Kind of both, it's lightweight and lively but can handle a lot of miles
I don’t think these work well for heavier runners (255)
So Tempus much better than the Guide 15? it looks like so
More snappier and poppier..
How does this work on smoother trails? I'd love a bit of guidance; the Catamount has that feeling for me, but at a cost of being quite firm and stiff...
feels weird, I have both shoes, i love the catamount too, but this tempus doesnt feel compliant for trails. I am a neutral runner though
@@paddywiggle I did buy the tempus, and with just a few more buffed trailruns in them, am basically pleased. The arch & rear of the shoe is a bit obtrusive and blocky, but not so much as to really bother. If Brooks puts out a softer & lighter Cat2, I'd happily buy it.
Is the ride comparable to the nb vongo v5? Also mild stability which I love but would like to try something similar but different ;)
Got the vongo and tempus and the tempus is way better and versatile too!
@@djbeama in what way better? More cushioned or more responsive / for sprints or for longer runs? I personally love the vongo for sprints, intervals and hill runs
@@diktromdefilm i think it can do all of the above. Tempus is light, responsive and the upper is thinner but more breathable. Maybe the vongos outsole is a bit more grippy when its wet. So far the most fun "guiding" shoe ive had.
@@djbeama thanks!
Does it come with wide options
Wide options will be coming
I am having a problem with finding a good stable speed trainer. Any suggestions?
Maybe the AlphaFLY 2
Tempus or novablast3?
Stability or cushion?
Havent tried the Tempus, but the Novablast 3 is easily THE best non-plated trainer of the year. It is so well rounded.
My US 10.5 weights in 262gr, light enough for tempo.
Gotta love the comfy upper, & thick & bouncy FF blast+ for Easy/Recovery/Long Runs.
So so so so close to perfect!!!
But that high and intrusive arch is too aggressive for flat foot runners (who this shoe is particularly marketed as 😞)
did u end up returning it?
@@io-rj6sk no I’ve already worn them unfortunately.
Do not recommend for flat feet.
Any word on Tempus version 2?
none yet
This shoe seems to fit the same box as the Nike LunarEclipse and the Lunarglide before they ruined it.
We'll have to try it to confirm, but that is the hope.
Loved the Lunarglide
They really really ruined the Lunarglide!
Tempus or Triumph 20???
Tempus
Exactly. We don't need to be pronating to benefit from wearing this show,... Why not have support..
These guys are stoned to the bone. We’re watching you
I tried the Tempus today. Rather disappointing. The upper is narrow but high.. Felt like a Hoka. Upper with plastic parts feeling cheap. The front rocker is missing and boy do you want it back like in the Speed.. Much less energy return then the Speed2 or Pro3.. Shoe feels like a very good daily trainer but no WOW factor like in the Speed 2 or 3 etc.. Did not buy them in the end. By the way they are already on sale for $130 \ €130.
