His son is so lucky to be sitting beside a living legend. Greatest PG in Duke/College basketball history, really was taken for granted because of all the talent around him. Take something as simple as the entry pass to Laettner in the low post. That alone was a thing of beauty, he would put it (the only place he could) on Laettner's hand while he was being double teamed. Biggest shot ever? 3 pointer in semi-final game in 91' vs UNLV. If memory serves me correctly it was at the 2:18 mark of the game and cut Vegas lead to 2, probably should let this go, but I'm still mad that Billy Mccaffery transferred to Vanderbilt. If he would've stayed I think Duke makes it to the Final 4 In 93'. Thomas Hill had a miserable season shooting that year, Mccaffery would've been the difference. Anyway, huge fan Bobby always will be, kudos to you and your son, sure hope you get the Duke job when Coach K retires and make your Dad an assistant in some capacity, much respect for him and the job he did at Saint Anthony's over the decades.
