The basketball scene where clark dunks over pete with the song ordinary by greg jones playing in the background is one of my favorites scenes throughout the whole show.
My favorite shot of the whole show is when Clark lands after dunking the basketball and the sand kicks up while he turns back at Pete and “Ordinary Day” plays behind iy
I do wish Pete had stayed on the show, but I also understand why Sam Jones chose to leave. At the time, the writers really weren't appreciating him, preferring to craft stories about Lana and Chloe. After that, Clark never had any stable male friends until Oliver showed up in Season 6.
It’s actually real well done acting based on his character. He knows about the burden ahead even if he is in the “family”. He could destroy their lives with a slip up. And foreshadowing @@Barbaresantana
By telling him he's proud? Mong. He's a protective father and one of the greatest actors, TV dad's on this show and any show. He reacted exactly as you would expect.

Yah. Brings me back early 2000s vibes
Yeah I just came here. Because I just thought about this scene and song n 2022
It's a real song i shazamed & Google a billion times, what's the song name?
@@gamecitysavior2910 Ordinary by Greg Jones
I loved their friendship so much. I wish we saw Pete more often.
“It’s just an ordinary day, I’m much too strange for this ordinary world.”
Smallville at its prime.
I love their friendship in Season 2.
Well it didn't start off well. Pete was a jerk. I knew Clark had to tell him, but it was sad he was forced due to the ship
Ay bro why you always fucking with the flash?
Small I’ll eat has the greatest songs on every week man. I hear certain songs and it takes me back.
Small I’ll eat?
Me too! Screams early 2000s
1:01 - "It's not easy being you is it?" They should write a song about that
For real. I mean he’s only a man in a silly red sheet.

Hoopin in timbs on dirt is the top villain arc in Smallville
🥲🥲🥲🥲 beautiful friendship
0:32 thanks for apologising Pete! Cus if you were an alien you'd be under the same pressure
“So whats super like? 20? 30 miles per hour?”
“Yea something like that”
Clark knows he's alot faster then that
@@KingKidGoku32794 agreed.
(Corrected) Clark knows he’s a lot faster than that.
Pete’s hairline makes me feel some kinda way…
good callback to when X-ray started developing.
Algunos quieren amigos como Lex yo quiero uno como Clark 💗
Lex was his best friend then Pete was his best friend again.
No more than one best friends the only one that saw it that way was Pete
And then Oliver
Pete was always the best friend
Even as a kid this scene looks like a grown man playin with a little kid 🤣🤣 Sam you gotta get some height bro 😂
Great scene
20 - 30 miles per hour haha that a joke
It was cuz Clark knows he's faster then that
