Back when i was in my 30's I started watching LPGA events and realized Annika Sorenstam had a lot more to offer me as a "player role model" than Tiger Woods as my club yardages were nearly identical to hers. Fast forward 20 years and my club yardages are nearly identical to Nelly Korda's except I no longer carry an iron taller than my 8 (switched over to hybrids for 7,6,5). I should model my game/course management/decision making after hers...still won't help my 3 putting though! DOH!
I started doing that after watching this video (Putting the ball further back) some the best contact and consistency I have ever gotten. No clue why, but it's staying lol
I know I wouldn't be super great at guessing my yardage, but you would assume a professional at that high up would know their yardage. That's how they hit the ball every time. The caddy says you got 205 yards left then the golfers job is to hit it that far so that's the same thing right?
Was thinking the same thing, googled it and found out that she carries a Ping G425 Hybrid (26 degree), which they obviously don’t want to show in this channel
I never really understood why this is concidered impressive by a professional golfer. They are shooting from a trackman which has "perfect" conditions. They know their yardages pretty much spot on for each club. If they were ever 5 yards or more off when "guessing" it would be pretty bad.

You can tell she knows her game well. I made such quick progress once I got a feel of exactly how far I hit each club. To be fair they're pretty similar to Nelly's, maybe a few yds longer but not much.
Try a blade Tommy armor putter with a super stroke pistolgt 10 grip? 🤔 The way Ruffels has been putting latley your gonna need it. I tried it in the store and it went straight in the cup from 20 ft without even thinking. Obviously still gonna play my old Cameron tho, maybe put the grip on that...
I don't get why everyone is impressed. These pros literally know their yardages already, to within 2 or 3 yards. They're measured on trackman all the time.
While impressive, it’s not really *that* impressive. She’s probably hit tens of thousands of balls on a Trackman and already knows (a) her stock yardage with each club, and (b) her yardages on really pure strikes and mishits. So this isn’t really all that hard for her. What would be more impressive is having the guy pick random yardages (that aren’t her stock numbers) and asking her hit those.

As a 63 yr old 10 Handicapper, who cannot relate to the top men players for swing speed, watching Nelly`s tempo is perfect for me.

So someone that spends every day figuring out how far they hit each club, can guess accurately how far they have hit that club? Shock horror!

its actually very easy.... each club is about 10-15 yards added. depending on how hard you hit.
