    Initially we were going to build digesters and soakaways at each home in our community, but because of the soil composition in one area of the community our soakaway is not soaking back into the ground properly.
    Therefore we decided instead to build a waste treatment center where we will divert all our faecal waste, blackwater and greywater to. The will convert all the solid waste into a fertilizer and it will clean the liquid waste into pure water that can then be used in our gardens or pumped back into the stream.

    Not many of us appreciate the work that goes into amenities. A hut and outhouse on the beach or this....? Good work.

      Thanks. There are no individual boreholes. There will be one or possibly two boreholes for the entire pocket.

    Perhaps, the grey water can also be channelled to/underneath the proposed food forest area?

    • @EricIsFree
      @EricIsFree  3 месяца назад

      Thanks. To achieve this there would have to be separate piping for each home to channel only the greywater.

    You should consider diverting some waste to bio gas generators

    • @EricIsFree
      @EricIsFree  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for the suggestion, but that doesn't make a lot of sense. You don't divert waste somewhere else, because it all needs to be treated. When the waste is treated it produces gas and then you can use that gas as you wish weather it be in gas generators, filing gas cylinders, etc.

    Question? Can they change the ethanol gas from the digester into energy to run the fridge

    • @EricIsFree

      You can use the gas is any manner that you currently use gas.

    Bro Eric the idea of sewage treatment plan is a better idea .However, you must have few mainholes before the water and waste reaching the treatment plan .It would be a good idea to use 8 inches pipe .It is extremely important to install backflow in the main line .That prevents the water not coming back to the units .

    • @EricIsFree
      @EricIsFree  3 месяца назад +1

      Will take into consideration. Thanks!

    • @EricIsFree
      @EricIsFree  3 месяца назад +4

      Response from our consultant.
      -The Biogas system replaces the manholes making sure only liquid enters the sewage treatment plant plus capturing not only of solids but Gas also.
      -Sure,there will be backflow in the drainage.
      -8 inches is best drainage pipe for towns but 6 is okay for a small community and cuts down on cost .
      -There also will be a pump to pressure wash the pipes intermittently.
      -The drainage will also have hidden below ground inspection chambers to hold and transfer solid waste into the biogas system.
      -The biogas system will produce gas and liquid which will be harvested and liquid treated into clean water.

    This needs to be shared with Panama. They have severe sewage problem and burn instead of process with algae. With algae it would restore the waterways and fish habitats

    With the heavy rains that fall there wouldn’t this reservoir of urine be flooded out to the point of overflowing?
