I lived in an apartment in Colorado 12 years ago. And there was a river about 10 minutes away that was called the Little Bid Thompson River. It was off the Big Thompson River in the mountains. And there was a pathway to walk on and a huge beautiful park. Off the fairgrounds. Anyway, Daniel, my Sweet Beautiful Sheltie, and myself would go for a walk everyday along side the river. And he just ENJOYED getting in the river and swimming to cool off. I would get in with him sometimes. The river wasn’t swift along the path. And there were , of course boulders and rock n vegetation all over. And we would get on one of those rocks and sun ourselves. What Memories♥️!! A couple of lakes. We lived there for over 6 yrs. He had a HUGE YARD to run in also. It was perfect for Daniel and myself. 2 pees in a pod and happy as larks. Too short of time, because we had to move. We were also SO BLESSED to have had those SPECIAL DAYS there a in that Beautiful Place. Thank YOU GOD♥️for my little Sheltie Daniel♥️. I will ALWAYS hold them close to my heart ♥️and my precious pup💥♥️
@@LovinMystery lol 😄 I think with these dogs heritage it is good to them to spend hours in the rain keeping an eye on the pastures but bad to be in any standing water ☺️
Yes because they have a double coat. They are ok with the 1st coat being wet but once the 2nd coat gets touched, like shower wet, is when they don't like it, it dries up not that quickly. At least is what I think 😊
Some Shelties are reserved and leave the wagging for special occasions. If it is something that your Sheltie does since puppy isn't much of a worry but it is something that it's been happening recently and is not normal for your Sheltie go check at the vet to see if is not an underlying problem.

I LOVE SHELTIES ♥️♥️♥️

I would LOVE to see her sheltie babies. I LOVE them so much.
Aww how cute
My Sheltie likes to lay in the pouring rain but not swim 😄 he will wade out into water but only up to his chest.
Same with Freya, she is ok getting wet from the rain but not from swimming or shower hehe. If the water hits her chest is already to much water 😆
So did my rough Collies

Thank you by the beautiful life that you gives her. 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Thank you for watching 🧡🧡🧡
I’ve had 14 Shelties over the last 30 years and they all did not like getting into water.
03:55 my cat used to do the same thing with toilet water
Such a cute mama! ❤
Thank you ☺️
2:26, that is so cute. ♥
That's a nice pool you have for Freya.💛
Thank you 😊, she doesn't like it that much but is good enough to keep her cool.
She's a lucky sheltie!
🥰
My Sheltie pup is 16 months and a "velcro" dog and bossy too.
My late Pheobe would have loved your pool.
So would my MacDuff ❤
We only recently discovered that Freya loves the ocean but shower or a pool is a no no 😆.
We will be moving soon. I bought us a pool also. I hope my Tippy likes it too.
Good luck with your move. If Tippy likes water it will be great, Freya isn't a fan of it 😆
❤
🥰
Our Sheltie Abby is not much of a water dog but she loves riding in the Kayak with my wife
She likes to take the breeze 🥰
Quick question have a Sheltie she doesn't wag your tail much normal?

My Lily hates going in our pool, shelties are not ones for water.
Yeah, definitely not. Freya doesn't like it either, we just put her in to cool her down a bit.
I don't think she likes that too much
No, she isn't much of a fan of water but was necessary for her to cool down a bit.
