There might never be a Skoda automobile seen in North America, so I would never have seen that amazing commercial unless watching this youtube channel. They're ALL good. ALL of them, I tell you! I didn't think I'd like the desert Audi but it paid off. The Dodge "disclaimers" are genius. I had to play that one three times to catch all the zingers. The Cadillac seems a little bit badass first but then it turns out that he is actually right. When it comes to Skoda, I grew up with these cars in Czechoslovakia, they are ... well ... not so good .. xD But the advertising is amazing and was completely new to me. Also very funny because it plays with - or better against -the image of Skoda. For example the guy at the beginning shoots at the TV where the old advertising for Skoda is shown. And when it comes to Dodge, I watched it again and again and I was laughing more and more - it's really good! The German ones were a hit when they came out and went absolutely viral. They were funny at their time but maybe the context of the parody - MTV, pimp my ride and so on is somehow lost. I still like them because of Peter Stormare!

I have to confess that Cadillac one _really_ got me. What utterly brilliant marketing implementation of a simple concept: work hard, and you get stuff like a swimming pool and a Cadillac. Every high-end advertiser strives to pull off that message, but the Cadillac one actually pulled it off. I watch that commercial, and say to myself, you know, he's right. What an advertising coup to penetrate my cynical sphere so shrewdly. 2:30

There might never be a Skoda automobile seen in North America, so I would never have seen that amazing commercial unless watching this youtube channel.
They're ALL good. ALL of them, I tell you! I didn't think I'd like the desert Audi but it paid off. The Dodge "disclaimers" are genius. I had to play that one three times to catch all the zingers.
Okay, well, the bonus German VW engineers - I think those will have to grow on me. Otherwise...wow! Coooool stuff.

The Cadillac seems a little bit badass first but then it turns out that he is actually right. When it comes to Skoda, I grew up with these cars in Czechoslovakia, they are ... well ... not so good .. xD But the advertising is amazing and was completely new to me. Also very funny because it plays with - or better against -the image of Skoda. For example the guy at the beginning shoots at the TV where the old advertising for Skoda is shown. And when it comes to Dodge, I watched it again and again and I was laughing more and more - it's really good! The German ones were a hit when they came out and went absolutely viral. They were funny at their time but maybe the context of the parody - MTV, pimp my ride and so on is somehow lost. I still like them because of Peter Stormare!
I do not work hard but I have doubled my income on a 60-60% contract. So an avarage salary while working 2-3 days a week. That is what I call smart. And I drive a shitty old car that cost me "nothing."

This is great, congratulations! I always wanted to have onem I love US-American cars and had an old Chrysler Saratoga, then the Chrysler Vision, in US it was called Chrysler Eagle I think, and then the Chrysler 300M - nice design, great power, a lot of space and very exotic here in Austria/Europe. Sadly, they are also very expensive resp. you don't get any and have to order them from US and with all the tarrifs and taxes ... I'm getting to know and like you more and more!
