Rodney, although divorced from my sister, Rosanne, will always be my brother. I think of him as
a blood relative. I learn from him. I just don't get to see him much anymore, but when I do, it's one of the
times you will find me quiet because everything Rodney says, counts to me. He is an amazing talent, an
incredible father, a wonderful big brother. (he's actually an only child so I adopted him as my brother long
ago). If I could be 10% more like Rodney, I'd be a better person. I adore him and all of his music.
Listen to "Long and Lonesome Highway'... One of my favorites. He wrote it about his father. I still cry when I

"Please Remember Me" is a beautiful song which boasted at least 3 heartfelt renditions -- Tim McGraw's, the duet version by Linda Ronstadt & Aaron Neville (which used to be my favorite version until I heard the original version by the man who wrote it -- Rodney Crowell.) As excellent as all three are, Rodney's is my favorite.

This guys music was iconic for me as a kid in the 80’s. He had a unique style and was original, just like all the greats. I don’t know where he went or why he faded back but I can tell you, they don’t make ‘em like this anymore

How do I express my appreciation for Rodney Crowell? I don't have the beautiful words that he does to touch a persons heart and music in my soul to put them to music that brings a person to their knees in tears and memories of their own. When he sings these songs it allows my feelings to be released and expressed in a beautiful way. How can one person be so gifted ?

Recently discovered this original version. After much listening I actually like it a bit better than McGraws (which is also great). Gotta give Tim credit for using Patty Loveless for backing vocals, think a shot out to the original version as she sang as well on it.

Rodney a very gifted songwriter and singer . I tend to put him in my playlist with some of my other favorites from the 70's and forward... Mickey Newbury, Kris Kristhoperson, Townes Van Zant, Steve Earle, Larry John Wilson,J.D.Souther . Songwriting is a true craft and Rodney is on par with anyone I can think of and he also delivers his songs with a strong and polished voice.
I never get tired of listening to any of these artist works of art.

I lost my best friend two and a half years ago. I had to lead his celebration of life and this song was one that I played. I miss him every day as he took the place of my older brother who passed away in 1978. Such a beautiful song that says so much. So many songs he has written and performed by various artists!

Just saw Rodney at The Triple Door in Seattle last night. The best solo act show I've ever seen. He gets better with age and continually reinvents himself. The entire audience was in awe of his performance. And even as a long time fan, I did not know this song until just now. He never ceases to amaze me. His book is captivating me as well.

Wow I learned something on youtube!! Rodney's career was on its last leg if not dead, when i started liking Country music in 1993 at the age of 14! (0's Country is my era! That includes Tim McGraw! lately in 2010 I have expanded to 80's country and have grown to like Rodney. I was listening to "After All this Time" when they suggested this video on the side. I wonderd if it was the same song. It sounds so great! I am so sorry I missed out on great music!
