I think what it means by "who got here first" is that Nate seems have aged more than Lara in his series, plus he joined the treasure hunting game from a very young age. It also might be true that he was born before her in their respective universe's times. (I don't know much about Tomb Raider though so I may be wrong, this is just my thoughts on the matter)

The Tomb Raider reboot was a pretty good financial success, leaving no real reason as to why it came to Xbox One first. To top it off, Crystal Dynamics said in their announcement post that in the meantime, PS4 users can wait with the remastered version of the reboot.

My heart tells me Lara Croft is better (plus I've never played Uncharted), but the only reason I fell in love with the Tomb Raider was the eerie Indiana Jones feel (which she apparently dumps on Drake in the rap battle). Since Nathan is more like Jones (well, he's a guy), I believe I'd like Nathan more if I ever played Uncharted (but that would mean Uncharted PC, which is never going to happen).
We need more of these!

Lara Croft may be the superior of the two but Nathan has had the more epic series. I've never played the games...too gory but Drake is a bit cooler and hard to say, but Drake's games are more realistic. Lara fought a FRIGGIN DINOSAUR! All Drake's stuff were ancient but NOT prehistoric.
