@LunaticTheCat .. I think there were legit arguments I could make for Luka, Jokic or SGA (I did say Luka before the playoffs though).. To me, personally, I thought 34/9/10, while winning 50 games was pretty damn convincing.. Jokic did have a great season, but I think a 2nd MVP should be harder to win than the first and the 3rd should be even harder to win than the 2nd.. and I didn’t see him do anything that he hadn't already done.. plus I thought he actively helped his team lose the #1 seed (which actually would have made a difference).. they choked that away.. and he wasn’t good in those games.. Jokic coasted through parts of the season (understandably) and Luka was spectacular, night in and night out.. and that 70pt game was just absurd.. so he also had higher highs, imo.. also dealt with a lot of injuries to his teammates.. after Embiid went down, I thought Luka actually had the best individual year.. I can’t be mad at Jokic winning it.. he’s putting himself in the convo every year, for sure! I just don’t think he’s really a 3x MVP caliber player.. 2x definitely.. but 3x to me should be the result of being more dominant than anyone in your era.. and I think there are a few guys who are putting together similarly awesome seasons..

I'm a Boston fan from Texas, living in Oklahoma. Dallas and OKC are the only other teams I watch. A Boston finals against the Mavs is a perfect scenario for my sports mental health 😂 Dallas is killing it but I do want to see Tatum and Brown beat Kyrie but they both gotta make it first. Hopefully both teams keep it up because these playoffs have been exciting.

To me, Jokic’s efficiency as a scorer is more based in his decision-making and playing the point.. he’ll only shoot when he’s the clear cut best option.. so his shot selection is geared towards efficiency (really, his whole game is.. that’s what makes him great).. Luka is looking to be a volume scorer and makes the pass when a teammate is the clear cut best option.. but his craftiness can get him a good shot anytime, anywhere.. Embiid looks to score even when getting doubled and sometimes tripled.. but he scored more points than minutes played, which is absurd lol.. So there are different ways to look at it.. probably just preference when it comes down to who the “best” is..
