I like how you leave the ‘mistakes’ in your vids. Using CP and AD are fraught with potential problems unless you keep an eye on them. I always use Lands with combining as it means the AD tractor is more often than not close by a combine. I run between 10-12 Lands. They can’t bring out a AD update soon enough. At the moment it’s very frustrating using it to offload combines, from reversing away from combines when the it’s 90% full to not moving forward when the combine is 95%. Great vid btw, love automated farming!
1:09:14 the Twin steers normally have longer wheel bases to fit larger fuel tanks. I’ve never seen a twin steer with that short of a wheel base. (This coming from someone who grew up with trucks in Australia btw) 1:12:23 a road train is a vehicle longer than 27.5Metres. Anything shorter than 27.5Metres that has 2 trailers is considered a Long Vehicle.
Very nice stream brother, im away for a few days on leave, but great job with the automation. I have some more plans for the 4x map in future. Will keep you posted.
Well its good to see you finally have gone to using " RED " finally! I know it is only temporary. I know how you much love green. Sorry I wasn't there but will be back soon as I can. Real life has a hold of me right now. But I will be back. Thank you for the live stream and all the big farm footage !
I run 4 harvesters, 4 chaser bins, and 3 super Bs on a solo spring creek and alway have trouble with the chasers loading the trucks. I thought using a mother bin might work but after this it looks like the way to go. Thanks for testing it.
Used the mother bin a lot, but in the end kicked them out for direct to truck unload. Way easier and less prone to trigger errors. There are many names but i use 2 Double B (also called Turnpike double) trucks and this works great as long you drive in the opposite direction to the unloading chaser bins. If need be i can add a single truck. Then the key to succes is the bi-directional loop around the whole field that ties in with the unloading point and a bypass to the cart wait point.
The issue you had with the trigger for the truck had nothing to do with the speed the truck was coming in. It was because you had placed the wait point too far beyond the motherbin. At default, AD starts detecting the trigger 25m before the vehicle reaches the waypoint, but with the waypoint so far away, the truck simply had to pass the actual load point (The pipe on the motherbin) before it would start searching for it. One solution to your problem would be as the chat was suggesting, to increase the trigger distance. Another solution would be to move your waypoint a bit closer to the trigger.
A trigger will override a waypoint every time so having the waypoint placed beyond won’t affect it unless the unload point is empty which was the issue in this case 👍
I also think setting the load point with the last trailer underneath the pipe of the mother bin will help when the motherbin empties but the truck trailer is not full! Just a console player but a keen observer and thought of that as a solution while watching the stream after the fact! Good luck hopefully I’ll catch the next stream if you’re making this a regular one?
@@suhspicious Nice one Zach, good call, I think it's purely an issue with the motherbin as I've not experienced it before, but that's a great workaround! thanks man.
great Video mate, love all the Autodrive and course play. So when you finish on No Mans Land, You and Argsy could do a series on my 4x British map? would love to see that. i'm hopping its playable by October..
I’m curious about the choice for the carts. Wouldn’t smaller auger wagons that unload more frequently be slightly easier to get working? I don’t know if maybe going with a 7 or 8R and a 30-45k bin or the red tractor equivalent. I think with the articulation of the tractor and the length of the trailers it’s making it harder than it should have been. I’m not going to lie it’s very entertaining watching it all go pear shape.
Sorry I missed your stream last night FSG. I was listening to and watching the test match yesterday and by the time I realised you were streaming, I was already in bed. Watched this vid though.
Those ab triple road trains you have there are the wrong way, you should have the single at the front so it doesn’t bounce and the double at the back to weigh it down and follow up but nice k200’s
I have watched so many videos and tried so many times and I cannot get auto drive to work properly it always tells me that it cannot find a way to its next Waypoint even when that Waypoint is literally 5 ft ahead of it
sorry a bit late in Auz e have a Semi-trailer (1 A trailer 40' Container) a B Double ( 1 B trailer 20' container and 1 A Trailer then unofficially anything larger is referred to as a road train, that is what Licensensing states, so you can then have an A Double ( 2 x A trailers) then any combination from then on
I have some issues with the Coolamon Mother Bin (150T). 1) When Truck with semi trailers approach near, it doesnt automatically fill the trailers (even pipe is out and the cover is opened). I need to jump into its tractor then it will else nothing happens. 2) My K200 Cummins X15(900) truck doesnt approach near the Mega Bin at all (it doesnt matter whether I put the maximum trigger distance to 50 or 100m or how far/close I move the waypoint marker. Even normal tracker with the trailer doesnt approach near Mega Bin. I think some issues with the Mega Bin. Anybody else has experienced the same issues?
@@TheFarmSimGuy link to the stream pls. Im having headache with these MotherBins (have now also tried Walkabout WMB6000, still no luck). Harvester and Chases are working great and being filled properly into MotherBins, only the last part where Trucks need to load from MotherBin is the problem for me.
Lots of problems with the trigger like you. In the end I went to a direct to truck unload which is much easier. I use 2 trucks (Turnpike Double? aka 2 A units with a dolly) and this works excellent as long as you drive in the opposite direction of the unload. Also the unload (chaser bin pipe) should be fully over the truck in a straight line and should stop over the second trailer. So when you unload the chaser bin the truck is facing you. Wish i could explain the schematic for this and how i set up a field. Works like a charm.
Those are not road trains. Road trains use exclusively full sized trailers with separate dollies. South of Wubin in WA you can only run 2 full sized trailers. These are known as "pocket road trains." North of Wubin where I am we run "triples" 3x full sized trailers. Greetings from the WA wheatbelt..
@@TheFarmSimGuy The front trailer in that setup is known as an "A" trailer in a "B-double" setup. Effectively any trailer with a mounted turntable is an "A" trailer. What the north Americans call a super B is called a b-double here. To confuse things even more there's also b-triples in Australia. A road train can run up to 5 trailers under permit. Without a permit three trailers is max. Typical weight is 90 tonnes.
i just saw your australian mega farm. and you say you were worried about whether there was enough space for your grain in silos. but you have plenty of barn space, can you not lay grain on the floor in these barns

BIG Field Farming!? Have you looled at FS22 Red River Manitoba in Canada? Very Large fields.
Yes indeed, a great map
As person who plays on this map using mods for honeybee header and class lexion and also for baler + other vehicles, it reminds me harvest glenvar

recording a 2 way route around each outer field will help a lot the autodrive to get out of the field and avoid tree or ditch.

Hi mate bit wet to day in hull
Yeah I hear the weather is awful in the Uk just now
Is this map on console? Im guessing not cause its so big lol
That's correct
Is this map available on console?
No, but there is a standard size version being made that will get tested for console
Will this map come to console ?
No but there is a standard size version that has been submitted for console testing
Only if Giants allows 4x maps on modhub for console, which they have not yet...
