- The South Side of Belize City may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of mingling with strangers. Nevertheless, I was up for a new challenge in one of the city's more notorious areas, where I could connect with residents one-on-one and listen to their stories.
Although a quick Google search of "Is South Side Belize Safe?" will show you many warnings of robbery, kidnapping, and murder... I refused to let that dictate my actions and continued to explore the Belize City with an open mind.

Of all the videos so far, this is my favourite! You manage to capture the very authentic side of Belize that not many people would even attempt to discover from fear or other hidden issues… I’m a Belizean in the diaspora, My husband died recently from covid, when he visit, this is what he would do, just hand out on the corners and reminisce with the guys, so this is really good for me, I will share with my 2 boys, knowing they will see their daddy in this video… How he love his people… Job well done! You have captured the heart of the forgotten local… 💯💕🙏🏽

It’s so true what that gentleman said about the simple things in life simplicity is what makes me happy . Just sitting around and chatting with friends and family and laughing at silly little jokes . Getting up in the morning and listening to the birds chirping or watching the sun rising over the mountains and setting over the oceans in the evening , laying on the beaches listening to the sound of the waves the pitter patter of the rain drops on the roof is so relaxing and refreshing to me . Greed for material things and loving and worshipping them can and will never make you happy humbleness humility respect and love for your fellow human being is the greatest gift 🎁 to mankind

Chris that's my stumping ground back in the 70s on cemetery road. Euphrates, Bagdad st etc. Enjoy and be safe. My Belize have change. I use to be able walk home from the club without being robbed, but it doesn't stop me from visiting You just got to be careful Everywhere is getting dangerous just got to be aware of your surroundings. Don't sleep or dog will eat your supper like they say 😊

I went to Belize 2 times in 2018 and just last yr in November everytime I go I never just go downtown area the best foods are literally in their hood and the ppl are very helpful and nice I’ll go back every chance I get probably soon

Funny stuff. In Northern Belize, the "bad man" rum is called "Chipilin". I have it in a few of my videos and it tastes okay straight up. But it is causing a lot of drinking problems.

I was born in Belize came to America at age of 3, since then my brother's and sister and parents have gotten their citizenship and went back yo Belize all the time. Im 32 and just got my citizenship and will be returning for the first time since 3 this march i can not wait ive been watching all your belize videos and love them. Yes and no. Most people from and living Belize will never enter these areas. You could live here your whole life and never see what I've shown you. You have rich and you have poor, it all depends where you want to travel.

I just heard of a simple trick to relieve both ear and sinus pressure, as well as tinnitus: hold/plug your nose and take a breath in through your mouth, close mouth, then try to breath out. Pops and equalizes the pressure in your ears. It works every time! 😊I love you and your channel ❤❤❤
I wish my problem was that easy. I've had many surgeries on my ears, my problem is not a simple problem nor does it have a simple fix. But I do appreciate your comment. Thanks for watching!

I didn't have a guide in San Pedro, but I found that one day is not long enough. It's a 90 minute boat ride from Belize City, then 90 minutes back and the last boat was around 3:30pm. It's a relatively small touristy area on the island you can just walk around or rent a golf cart.

I can’t wait to go to Belize . I’m staying in San Pedro but I’m definitely exploring Belize city and other areas. I’m no rich man but I read that Belizeans make 5.50 minimum wage in their own currency. Well my currency is double and the minimum wage from my state is triple . I make well over the minimum wage . I will definitely be handing out some cash when I go. At least to inspire , to show them that not all tourist come to take . Many of us would love to give back. If I love Belize enough I’ll own a property down there .

...and both streets are in the Mesopotamia constituency which also include Tigris st, Amara Ave, Basra st, Belizean solders were stationed in that area during WW1...big up LSD!!!
