Pistons killed the draft and surprisingly they actually get their cred. They are probably the consensus biggest winners. Just one day prior everyone dunked on them for the Grant trade but I loved it. People undervaule the picks they got in return to some degree but the trade isn't about getting equal value in the form of picks. You have to get some of the Grant value back in the form of picks then the rest of the value is in cap flexibility. Almost all big names that get traded have salary returning the other way. This was not the case. Also Pistons signed Grant for free and is on an expiring deal at 28 years old which doesn't fit the timeline. Pistons are likely to already use some of that trade exception on the Kemba buyout which is prof that free salary is valuable based on how you use it. Buying out Kemba allowed Detroit to trade 2025 bucks first for Duren. Pistons still have so much cap so now they can either sign impact guys in free agency or take on more contracts for picks. Maybe take on Hayward's 2 year 30 mil per year for a 1st and 2 2nds or something. Pistons would then have a Vet forward to complete and round out the starting roster and gain more capital while doing so. We got both. Now we should look to bring in some wings who can shoot to fill out the roster. On top of that would love to land Miles Bridges to give us someone who can finish at a high rate, that can put it on the ground, and isn't a negative spotting up. I also believe Stewert is going to be great off the bench this year. I dont think he is ideal at the four yet, but potentially he could get there. I dont think he has a problem defending 4s (alhough his strength and rim protection are strengths we would lose), he needs to become a knock down shooter if he wants to start at the 4 with a rim running 5. Love him, but I have accepted he is a high energy high foul rate center for the time being who potentially can make leaps as he puts in the work and is talented to become more.
Going forward, I think the Pistons, Rockets, Cavs and Memphis (Morant) are going to be in the talks as championship calibers. And then going even further Lakers will try to get one or two superstars from these teams to win it all.
Can we just wait until the first couples seasons end before saying anyone won it. Why do we do this? We all know whatever we say now is just guess work.
Kings just keep pushing out amazing guards saying they won't fit with Fox, I just don't think Fox is good enough to build your whole team around, Tyrese woulda been better even.

I wouldn’t call getting Ivey a steal, I thought it was almost set he’d go at 5. Top 3 was gonna be the 3 towers Jabari, Chet, Banchero, and if any of those teams missed on those players people would shame them for years to come. Ivey refused to go to Sacramento and they wouldn’t pick him to be unhappy and cause drama and demand a trade there, so him falling to 5 seemed obvious
Most projected Ivey to go #4. Looking at the fact that he has superstar potential, even if he only fell 1 spot, I understand why many people are saying that he was a steal
Ivey seems overrated, undersized for a 2... will take a while. But he will be emotionally engaged and invested which is very important, so it could work out. There were better picks IMO but a good story.
6'4 with freakish athletism is not under sized. Ivey is same height and similar explosivenes to Anthony Edwards. His running mate in the backcourt is also 6'6 Cade. I think they are more than good

They gonna be competitive for sure. Bt they still going so they ain’t going to the playoffs this year lol
They drafted the one who will go down as the best player of this draft
Those windshield glasses come with wipers?
Detroit Basketballlllllll…..Bad Boys!
Going forward, I think the Pistons, Rockets, Cavs and Memphis (Morant) are going to be in the talks as championship calibers. And then going even further Lakers will try to get one or two superstars from these teams to win it all.
Detroit Basketball 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Jalen said he was a diehard fan and that Jacoby was a "Die-Easy" fan.
This dude was the son of a #1 pick & great player?! No wonder this man had 81 plopped on his head, it’s always the great’s kids lol
Ouuuuuu I can’t wait to go to opening night
So detroit you can catch me getting drunk at harpos
Jabari Smith Jr dropped to the Rockets knock it off!🤣
Jabari is just a shooter. And ok on D. Plus he’s with no brains selfish Jalen green. They won’t mesh.
I'll always respect the Pistons organization even tho they drafted Darko over Melo I can't live that down.
DETROIT BASKETBALL!!
Watch out for that draft and stash Italian shooter they took at 36. Could be a piece down the road
DETROIT BASKETBALL!!!
detroit what! detroit what!
Waddup doe!
I always forget his mom straight up invented that name
Too early to be celebrating that they won the draft.
DETROIT WAY, THE ONLY WAY.
Detroit Basketball!!!!!!!
I like Jalens energy but the playoffs might be a far stretch for next year
depends on what they do with that 42 million in cap space. current roster probably fringe play-in. sign a big name or 2 pretty good players, playoffs baby
Pistons won the draft and so did the lions
These ain't played a single season yet anything can happen ridiculous
The Pistons & Rockets are always winning the draft.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
I think they are more than good
Cade and Ivey are both combo guards
One is going to be more a slasher the other is a all around playmaker
If anybody is connected to the Pistons, please let them know I am a strategical genius with a very special gift and I would like to help this team. The style of basketball they are playing now is going to have these young guys wanting to leave Detroit. I can bring something very different they will love.
@@bigboy8801 You think teams can't contain a rookie 6'4 slasher? That's my point.
If he gets to 10/12 ppg it'll be with poor efficiency.

Yessirrrrr
Im the odd man out.. Not really loving what Detroit did. Duren is an old school center who can't shoot. And they take on Walkers contract? Ivey might be nice, but it's always a risk w prospects. Kinda feeling like they had a good base with Cade and Bey but blew their load trying to force something that's risky at best. They could have gotten far better value for Grant than a 12 point old school non shooting Center and a bloated Kimba contract.
It's crazy how these players go from poor and "I'm just so happy to be here" to spoiled kids who thinks the world owns them everything after like just a few years.
Deeeeeetroit Basketball 🏀 🙌 👌🏾
duren ben wallace 2.0++, will be on all defense team many times, spurs didn't draft duren bc doing sign and trade for ayton...
My guy Jacoby what up doe been my friend on IG for a min humble solid guy
They might trade Duren for Ayton
No they aren’t doing that lol
I went to JRLA(Jalen Rose Leadership Academy) the 2nd year it was open, but I got kicked for knocking a kids braces off in a fight.
Okc won 🥇
Coming out of 2k retirement
throw them glasses straight in the trash!
Now all we have to do is 🔥 Coach Casey. I think he will do a great job with helping them develop but he is not a championship caliber coach.
I like Jalen Rose, but why does the bro need to talk about his draft suit from a generation ago?
Deeeeetroit! Basketballllllllll!!!!!
Look at the talent this team now has....IN A SHORT TIME!!!! The future is now BRIGHT AF!!!!!
And to think just 3 to 4 years ago I was getting attacked by fn idiots how don't know Jack 💩, because I was saying the Pistons need to blow things up and be one of if not the absolute worst team in league, for the Pistons to have a brighter future and be better!!!!
Looks like I was 1,000,000% right!
Warriors might have won the draft. PB Jr is a steal at 28. A future star
Bro what😭
He’s definitely a steal but not the best one
All perspective, the pistons and rockets are the worst teams getting good players but the warriors are the champs getting a good player.
@@puremaniac3171 what do you mean?
