- We went into this adventure not expecting to enjoy a family sized van for just the two of us- BUT IT WAS AWESOME! This van really surprised us with it's layout, quality build and ease of towing for such a big hybrid caravan. We took off to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and stayed at Parklands Kenilworth. After staying at so many places in this area, this one actually is just about the best. Immaculately maintained, heaps of room (even on weekends) and good facilities for a working cattle farm camp.
The Jawa Tarwarri is a brand new prototype built on a Jawa first tandem axle. It has triple bunks and internal two-burner stove and sink for those wet days camping. A big family needs a big 12V electrical setup and the Enerdrive 300aH lithium, Enerdrive 2000W AC Transfer inverter, Enerdrive 40A DCDC and 240V chargers do a great job. Full ensuite inside and perfect outdoor living under the 5 metre, triple support arm awning. We are trying to convince the team that a couples version of this platform would be AWESOME

Yes, we are a couple and like this van - prob perfect size for us. I immediately thought I’d want to replace the bunks with a different seating arrangement at the very least. So definitely would love to see a couples version. I’m contacting Jawa to see if the layout can be changed somewhat.
The great news is- they now have a couples version of the Tarwarri called the Tarwarri Eacape. Tell them that we sent you and they might do you a better deal

love the van but yes we would prefer standup fridge and separate toilet/shower instead of the bunks and maybe a washing machine(not that important only if there was room), we have no kids at home any more.

Fantastic video. I am new to your channel and came across your video as we are in the market for a new van. Really thought your review was excellent and pushed me onto the Jawa site as I am interested in the van. I was not aware of the Jawa brand before and was very impressed so you "sold" me. I went to their website and was not all that impressed, I would have thought at minimum they would have a drawing of the layout and a list of the inclusions for their advertised price on the net. Just some feedback if you are talking to Jawa. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to your other vids.
Nice review, wish this van was available as a couples option !! Take away the bunks, make the ensuite full width with seperate shower and washing machine option, the extra space next to it for a compressor fridge and that would be the perfect hybrid van !!
We agree and did give Jawa this feedback when we handed the van back. We also had several people that walked through the van at our campsite say the same thing. I know it takes time for new interior designs to filter through, so hopefully something may be in the works. Maybe give them a call or drop them an email with this feedback!

Got pretty excited when I saw the title of this video. Then I saw the outdoor cooking area. How high is the door for the kitchen when it’s open?
I can’t measure as the van is back at Jawa, and depends on site fall, but I’d say about 190-195cm

Hi there. Nice van, but not too impressed with the silicone sealing around the external hatches, could be better.

Silicone has zero stretch, it separates on the first bump.
How did you guys find the dual axle compared to towing and setting up a single axle ? Worth the extra coin
It really comes down to weights and size. We are very comfortable with single axle vans but if you’re after an ATM above 2990, you need dual. As for the towing, other than slightly more time to get to traffic speed and slightly worth fuel economy, the tow was great. Only time I noticed a difference was a full lock tight turn. Dual are easier to reverse than single

Hi Craig. As this was a prototype, Jawa have taken in feedback that the hinge needs more range. It’d be worth contacting them to get an accurate measurement. For this model, it was only about 190cm

Hi mate. I didn’t get the TARE before I set off on the trip. When we were packed and with 120L of water, it was about 2950kg. I’d estimate somewhere around 25-2600, but Jawa have the full specs so give them a buzz
@empty_nestadventures no worries. We have an infinty15 at the moment. Tare is 2450...the Payload is the biggest let down. Sounds like that vans payload is huge. I tow with a Ram1500 so that size isn't an issue.
Do you know the weights of this van please?
ATM is 3500. I don’t have the tare. I was at about 3000 with 100L of water and all our gear and food for a week

@@davidnecic3391 it started as a BT50 (Isuzu platform) but have done significant mods to it. There are a couple of videos detailing the mods on the channel, check them out

90k van and you have to hold the bed up by hand to get to the power system. Seriously. Starting to sound like sales people rather than traveller's. Not a fan of this van if at 3.5 t and 19 foot and I only get a shower toilet combo. Standard inclusions all vans provide . Better couples vans on market. Luv ya travels but not sure on your choice of product. That said I wish you guys well and enjoy the places you travel to. Cheers
Thanks for the feedback Peter. It’s a family van, we were just discussing what we’d do to make it a couples van. We’ve enjoyed every van we’ve tested for different reasons. There is absolutely nothing in it for us to be ‘sales people‘. We don’t get commission or anything like that. We look for the good in most things, but that’s just who we are.
