I'm wondering what he does with it. Urbies have been rocking his world because he has been laying into their specially, near static defense. With player missions, though? 2xAC/2-BF AAA mech? Basically a pocket slow Riflemen? Heavy Rifle and put the rest in engine? So a pocket Hunchback?
@@mattheww.6232 Urbie lance is the reasonable way. They outclass more or less anything else. I fit two large lasers and some MGs into mine, this thing punches way above its weight. With proper lance management, they are unmatched. Bara does not like the reasonable way, you know- snowball money on easy contracts and then just buy whatever you want. I respect him for that.
Whitworth doesn't get enough love. A standard 220, some medium lasers and SRM4s, all tier 1. You can get that thing blown up every mission and rebuild it for peanuts. Probably my favorite starter medium. Don't give up on him! As for the cockpit, tried to make it lore accurate but screwing with the window affects cursor aim. I can tone it down
Poor flea, it got ran over by the hunchy lol. What happens, is when two mechs collide with each other they take damage (charge attack), the bigger the mech the bigger the damage, which can cause mechs such as fleas to just get insta cored(ran over) from the damage also DFA (death from above) attacks exist as well, these mechanics are vanilla as they exist on the console version. And I would know I've done it many times with my skirmisher mechs lol
i think what happened was due to the elevation change, it was considered a 'death from above', which i believe increases the collision damage, all of which basically goes to the center torso which the flee doesn't have much of, so it went poof.
@@stevensutton2252 pretty sure its a vanilla mechanic. but most times you are in slower, tanker mechs so direct collisions dont do more than a couple points of armor damage.
At the beginning, just try and make an all Urbie Lance. You will be wiping the floor with Mediums easy. Specialize one for AA Duty with AC2s and a Large Laser. Another with an AC5 and a Large Laser or Mediums. One with the AC10 and Medium Lasers.
I think what happened is that you accidentally enabled Torso Counter Roatation and that's why your movement is thrown off. The keybind is Caps Lock by default, so it's kinda easy to fat finger it and not notice.
I think that what happened to the Flea at the end is that there's one of the mod (Idk which one) which add a mechanic that when 2 Mechs collide, the lighter one will take damage.
i think collision damage is vanilla, but i think what happened was a 'death from above' due to the elevation. basically because bara was down the steep slop, the hunchie was able to step on the flea and it basically dealt collision damage high enough to instant core the flea.
The 4 tons of weaponry on the Assassin, I'd go SRM 4, SRM 2 and a medium laser. The SRM 4 gives you a better average missile strike than 2 SRM 2s, for the same heat. The laser just because you need one for anti-air, and if you run out of ammo, you're not a mobile target.
I think he made the right decision with 4xSRM2, max armor and HS to lay on the trigger. He's critically damaging Lights from the front with one trigger pull with but a few seconds before the next, fast enough he evades and has enough armor to tank a lot of hits. Frankly, he needs to start throwing more punches and flanking.
i think what happened to the flea is a combo of the ac/20 and a 'death from above'. basically the 20 taking out the armor of the core and putting into yellow, then 2 very quick instance of collision damage putting the core into red (and destroying a laser) then coring the flea.
lol let's be real, Bara's been trying to figure out tanks for a few episodes while he actually was on the instructions screen 3 episodes ago ... I don't think he'll be able to get the older games running.

Discount Dan's stuff comes from "Yet another weapon Emporium" mod. I agree. The Whitworth is not a bad mech.
He overengined it and made it into yet another armored Assassin.

Yeah thought so too when i looked at it
coyote's mod adding the vtol random encounter to missions really makes early game missions potential to be real scary.
