Congratulations and good luck to you both! Hope Rich does a before and after video of your home renovations!
Good idea for a video. Thanks for watching A T-S👍😊
Gorgeous house!! Great couple! I’m ready to come to Chapala area!! Thank you!
Gorgeous house for a fantastic couple. Great video Rich, loved every minute of it!
Thanks so much watching David.
Cheers Rich
Yes, Beth & Ruben you have found one of the most magical places on the planet. And you have an incredible resource in our friend Rich. Best of luck, see you in Lakeside.
Thank you Crystal 👍😊
Love hearing all the birds in the background!
Thanks Karla. I hope all is well with you. Cheers Rich
I have bought and sold a house in Ajijic as easily as in Canada. I bought a condo in Puerto Vallarta and apart from the added “complication” and expense of ownership through a trust, that was also smooth sailing. All done as a tourist.
What a nice couple! I loved that house when I saw it in person - I'd really love to see a remodeling video.
Thanks Renee.
Congratulations! wishing you good success in your new home!
Congrats guys! It would nice to have an after video
Thanks John. I will definitely put one together...👍😃
Gorgeous property!! Congrats to the couple and I love love the curved brick ceilings and the pool! 😍😍😍
Congrats to both!!! I too am from DC! In the research phase now, but excited! So very happy for this couple!
Thank you Tracey. I will pass your kind words 😁👍
Thank you for sharing your experience.
I would love to see the updates they did to a home!
Coming soon. I promise 🙂👍
Second to wanting to see the renovations. Rich- if it’s not too late, since you are repping them for the closing, can you do a video on the closing process? What’s that like, do you need a Mx bank, check or transfer at closing, paperwork, recording deed, even how to ensure taxes are covered, was there an inspection for major faults, etc. All the nuts and bolts. I think you can buy on a temporo, what proof do you get to show ownership for visas. Thanks much love the videos and love this property! Maybe they’ll want to sell in 15years when we get there! 😁
Hi Susan? Thanks for watching. I actually did a 5 week series on buying real estate in Mexico. All the nuts and bolts as you may say. This is the first one ruclips.net/video/pbHX2SKQ7As/видео.html
In the series. Cheers Rich
Here is also another link to a video on RUclips that may also give you extra info ruclips.net/video/5fje3xQBbLg/видео.html
Do you sell in palya de Carmen
Great video! I’m in the research phase of relocating to Mexico.
My pleasure Travel with Jasmine. Good luck with you research. FYI, I have real estate and life style videos coming out every week. Cheers Rich
Congratulations... I wish them happiness in their new life in Mexico 🇲🇽.
Thanks for your comment. I'll pass on you best wishes 😊👌
Happy days guys, what a glorious home!
you guys are very welcome! Congrats.
This home is beautiful. Rich were they able to close and get moved in before the borders closed and everyone had to quarantine? Go back and visit them after the renovations so we can see what Beth does with the home.
Hi Tracy, yes my clients were able to close on the property just before the covid19 got into gear. I'll denfinatly do a video once they finish renovations. Greetings from Mexico 😁👍
Great couple, great interview!
Thank you Alyssa. It was a pleasure to do. 😊👍
Great video Rich! Do you do videos on other areas in Mexico?
Thank you Ingrid. Yes, your answer your question. Coming soon
Rich, have you done any videos on the actual purchase and financing of a home in Mexico?
Hi Tina, yes i do. Can you send me your email address at richgvarney@gmail.com
I'll send you all the links to the videos I've done. Cheers Rich
Very nice house! Great Rich
Thanks Carlos. I hope all is good your end. Un abrazo amigo 👍
Esta muy hermosa la casa y la vista es maravillosa.
Hello Rich- My husband and I would like to purchase a home in Mexico; I have a few questions. Do you have to pay cash or is their financing? What is the process?
I want to eventually move to Mexico. I am a single female. I don't drive and I want a walkable place. I also want to see people and what is the price range of property? What do you recommend?
Riberas del Pilar is nice affordable area of lake Chapala.
Thank you
I am moving too. Can we be friends?
May God Bless your home live it up!!!
Mexico has some of the best medical treatment and without having to get a second on your mortgage......
Me encanta un país con mucha diversidad yo amo a mi país y toda la gente que ama la paz bendiciones 🌈🌷💞🍀🙏
Muchísimo gracias Betty😊❤
Rich, still one of my favorite vlogs. We are also similar to Beth and Rubin as a couple
. We hope they are still loving Ajijic and I plan to run into them when we settle into Lakeside soon.
Lovely couple! There will be a follow-up coming soon. I promise
@@RichVarney What recommendations do you have for moving companies? I need more quotes. Por favor
Great couple and house and very informative video
Glad you enjoyed it. All the best Rich
Beautiful home. Nice looking couple. You can say your age when you’re gorgeous looking like that.
Mexico is a country that welcome foreigners. Mexican people are friendly, respecful, family oriented and very happy with a gtreat sense of humor. Welcome to Mexico!
I truly love Mexico. ❤😊 I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to here.
Beautiful high arched boveda.
BEAUTIFUL HOME
Any video of the renovations yet?
It's on the way😁👍.
Nice video, nice house for this couple. Question, do they have a place to park a car?
Thanks Paul. Yes, they have a private area for car in the property. Just did show in the video 👍
I like the talking points this couple have on the affordability of medical care.
What community was this location in again? San Antonio? What are all the communities called?
I want a tour of the house please
Thank you for this great (and all of your great) videos Rich! 🙏🏼 I have a couple of questions, did this couple have to purchase via a Fideicomiso? And, I presume they purchased under a tourist visa and didn’t have a temporary resident visa is that correct? I’m surprised how quickly they went from living in the states to deciding to purchase a home in Mexico! Gives me a lot of motivation because I’ll be ready to purchase something in the next 6 months. 😃
Congrats.
Love your new home! Ruben, do you happen to have a single twin brother??? Haha
I came down to see this house last summer, and it was under-maintained and over-priced. Check the drainage trenches around the pool (which drain the whole property when rainy), because a tree root reversed the grade. Fixing it might mean removing one of the two palms. Consider demo-ing the pointless bogeda, and build a casita there, at the same time fixing the mirador access -- which right now you can't get to without walking through someone's bedroom. Place is kind of a hodgepodge.
Did like it, though, even knowing I could never fully fix it. I'd have paid $240k, but that would've been an insulting offer.
The very best to Ruben and Beth. I'm sure they'll make a happy home in San Antonio, and we hope to bump into them in a couple years when we retire.
Thanks for your comments Lou. Yes, the house needed some renovations and updating and that is what happening at the moment. I'll do a video once it's all finished. Cheers Rich
@@RichVarney It'd be great to see a follow-up video!
Another item for Ruben and Beth is that the rooftop ductwork that heats the pool, solar-style, is mostly PVC pipe, but with rubber hosing (therefore hose clamps) forming some of the joints. When one of those clamps blows -- and one did while I was there -- the pool empties into the street, the pool pump runs dry, etc., etc.
So I think they'll want to redo that with all PVC, cuz if you're not home when it happens you can't kill the pool pump and save the day. Sun's beating down on that roof. Rubber hose and clamps shouldn't be used there.
How much did this lovely home with pool go for? Or if that would disclose too much, what was the seller asking? Thanks.
I love that house!
I'll be doing a recap videos with all the renovations they did soon. House looks amazing
Great house
I am thinking about it
Where did you do your resources?
How much did this house costed?
Hi Eva, the house was listed for $299K usd. Cheers Rich
Show us how she decorated and changed this hm.
Sorry for this video was filmed a few years ago now. But do have a newer series on my channel. Kind regards Rich
Do you ever miss the US being down there?
It can be seen very easily that this couple knows the difference between living in a real stone and brick house that lasts hundreds of years and the commercial wooden houses that bankers sell for termites.
Another thing. Don't get too crazy about buying long-term health insurance. Most foreign elders end up healing themselves in Mexico. Because of the weather, organic food and peace of mind. Sure. because they will not leave their life savings in the hands of health buzzards
Thanks for the comment Dorian...all the best to you
Did you live there first if so where.
Pretty place
Thank you Amirah. The house is currently been renovated. I'll do another video once it's all finished. Cheers Rich
Rich, how much was this home
Plan ahead
I will move to mexico but I look for please nice but no to expense.
Take out medical insurance if you're under 69? What happens if you're 70? Or when you turn 70?
Rich- Can you share an email address? I would like to get advice on the process. Thanks
Hi Freda, Sure thing...my email is rich@chapalarealtors.com
Happy New Year to you!
Great video but music is too loud my friend. Straining to hear what they're saying..
Thanks so much for the tip. I must of missed that in the final edit 😬👍.
Rich Varney no problem. Once again great content 👍👌
Do you have another channel about Mexico City? Never show your face? I seem to recognize your voice!
🤣. No my friend. This is the only channel I have. Cheers Rich
Rich we need your help
How may I help? Cheers Rich feel free to contact me directly on richgvarney@gmail.com
Chapala
😇
I wouldn't buy a house in Mexico...the government there can take it away and lock you out..
that has never happned you nutcase.
Martin, no matter where you live, we need to use common sense. We Americans are brainwashed to believe only the US is the right place to live. Guess what? Our mind set in the states is based on fear and rudeness on our neighbors. Plus we are one medical emergency from financial ruin. The people in Mexico are so pleasant and non-judgemental. We in the states are the extreme opposite in general.?..
@@molomix it happens all the time
@@manueljnegrete5048 I agree with most of your comment but the reality is mexican government are corrupt and they take advantage of foreigners.
One of the things that I admire about the Mexican culture is hat they don't customarily get offensive. As to corruption, Just minutes ago I was watching the news where an area in South Carolina the people that have owned homes for generations are having their properties confiscated because they can't pay their property tax because of the currant civic circumstances. Guess what? Those properties are being sold for pennies on the dollar to rich developers. The large percentage of these people are minorities...
