The shield of the North is magnificent in music as well. They already had style, culture, and capability lol What's interesting is that I've gotten in multiple arguments over the years with people arguing that Kislev represents Russia and all I feel that I need to do is just point at the Hussars and say 'Look, Poland but even cooler'
@Arbiterjim It's an easy comparison to see bears, comrades, and Motherland and say, 'Look! Russia!' And disregard everything else. A fictional nation can represent more than just one real-life nation and take cues from all over history. Unfortunately my history is not good enough for me to 'confidently' point out what is and isn't. But in my personal opinion, Kislev is a heavy mix of a lot of eastern european / slavic cultures. And they are really cool due to it. Cathay is still my (new) favourite faction in this game however. I f*cking adore their aesthetic they've got going on.
oh god when I see this argument I cringe all the time. Kislev represents Slavic culture as a whole. You can see references to multiple countries there not just single one. I understand people from non-slavic countries will say ''oh Kislev is Russian'' because it is the biggest Slavic country and also most represented in the media. But when fellow Slavs start arguing I'm losing my shit. It's inspired by multiple slavic cultures not just one. All the frickin' time I see ''Kislev is Poland / Ukraine / Russia'' I'm mad how ignorant those people can be. It's none of these and yet all of them at the same time. Czechs, Slovaks, Belarussians, and I bet even southern Slavs would find similarities or something to pick up in Kislev culture.
Good choice on kislev. One of the best new ost imo if you can go the extra mile could you do a dynamic for these? ruclips.net/video/_t4-ySp5eng/видео.html ruclips.net/video/5KrIzIi2T44/видео.html peaches lamb stopped making dynamic versions for any music with and after vampire coast
So far what I've been doing for these dynamics is simply muting all audio except music, and playing a skirmish. The game itself handles the 'dynamicism' as the battle progresses, and I've noticed can also throw in a few extra notes or different variations not in the official soundtrack for it. i'll probably be doing more with these types of videos in the future. I'll save the links for when that happens.
