Brilliant tutorial. As much as I have always vaguely understood what I wanted, I never felt quite able to get there as it seemed like it should be a complex task but with this, you have simplified that process and explained it superbly.

Thank you serve for this video. It has really help me realize how much better and more focused my landscape photos can potentially be.
I love that you kept your sky mess up in. I really appreciated that small "I'm still human" detail
Really great video! I love it. You're now my "brushhhh" mate. Bon travail
Amazing edit- need to watch it a few times to understand how everything is done. Thank you for posting this tutorial
another great one, Serge!
merci ;-)
Liked and learned a lot. Thanks Serge.
Great stuff Serge!
I do like your longer form videos. Keep them coming.
Great video, Thanks Serge
An easier way to handle the gradient filter with the sky is to first select the sky, and then use the intersect function to add the gradient or whatever other tool. That will limit the tool to just the sky. So instead of going small and then big, do the opposite. Same results but it's a bit easier. Love your overall look. I learned most of my post processing from your videos. Thank you so much.
wow I learned something I never used the intersect feature great tip tks for sharing I will be using it in my next videos. Tks Brian!
@@SergeRamelliPhotography Or, crazy idea here, you could just use "Select Sky" to just select the sky without the the unnecessary intersection steps. By itself, it does exactly what you wanted - selecting the sky, leaving everything else alone.
For what it's worth, it doesn't matter whether you do the linear gradient or the sky first.
@@TheZagnut69 no, because the entire point is to make a specific section of the sky, in this case the top of it darker
Great and entertaining tutorial! I was hesitant when I saw it was almost a half hour! But I laid down, watched, and pet my cat while my kids are napping/watching tv! Went by fast! Thanks!!

Crazy cool, informative video. Loved it. Don't see these videos of the secrets behind post editing.
Amazing
Thank you great tutorial.
Love your content. I learned a ton watching your Dodge & Burn tutorial. Would love to see a list of the key combinations you use throughout the video as I could not keep up with my notes - LOL. Perhaps I could learn to write faster? Thank you Mr. Ramelli.
Great video
Your work reminds me so much of Thomas Kinkade, often referred to as the "Master of Light". You are indeed a master in your own unique style of painting light with a digital brush. Thanks for your generous gift of teaching those of us aspiring to be artists.
tks so much
Exactly, Thomas Kindade, the shlock master of Hallmark Xmas card light. Perhaps the worst artist in American history, stores in malls, just an insult to the intelligence. You nailed it!
@@SergeRamelliPhotography - It's an insult.
Serge toujours au top!
merci :-)
Merci beaucoup! Great video indeed. Could you do such a video for wildlife and bird photos?
I finally understood what dodging and burning is and how to do it. Thank you!
Hapoy Incould help!
I learned a lot from you, thank you, and you are funny 😂
Great technique!
Really good video
Serge, hello, did you shoot that photo in brackets? And THANK YOU! You are one of the first RUclips photographers I followed when I decided to go full time real estate. Your tips have really helped me develop my own style. It has lead me to shoot some celebrity homes and even last night I had the opportunity to do a paid job, by drone, of the plaza next to Walt Disney Music Hall and the Grand Park leading to City Hall. I am a huge fan of dodge and burning, in fact I have used a method I learned from you using the luminance masking you taught a few years back. It's great seeing how it has evolved. Btw, if ever in the Los Angeles or OC area and are interested in a collaboration, I'd certainly welcome the opportunity. But either way, thank you for the tips, I find it really valuable.
I’ve learned a ton from this video! But the building shot is crooked! My eyes just can’t get past that. Thanks for the video…very explanatory!
That’s a perfect video.
Another great video Serge
merci mon amis! hope youare doing alright in the cold UK!
@@SergeRamelliPhotography Yes Serge, and I need to practice for the trip to Antartica in Jan 2023
thanks - nice tutorial.
tks so much!
Bien fait Serge I enjoy both your enthusiasm and your clear instructional techniques. You do an excellent job of talking through your thought process and what you are actually doing. Thank you. Minor thing in the big world but could not find a link for the Natural Drama book? Merci bien.
Thank you for the kind words. Sorry for the confusion. You can get a free copy of the book if you watch the master class.here event.webinarjam.com/register/311/7471ot8q
