I am a Ghanaian we do everything in the shadow, we don't like to flair up anything, you see people loaded with money and they look so simple. Somebody has to whisper it in your ears do you that lady or that man going, he or she owns A, B, and C and you will be like wow. The guy who built the hotel is a local guy from that area, he did it to attract tourism and also employed his local people.
That's where I had my secondary education, even though I am from the neighbouring town. What amazes me about my Kwahu towns is some of the buildings (architecture). For example, as a boy in the 80s, I saw the buildings in Obo and thought they were beautiful. I left the country and came back in 2012 and went to Kwahu to check the place out. The buildings that were there in the 80s were as modern, beautiful and relevant in 2012 as they were in the 80s. Of course, newer beautiful ones have been added to them but the old ones, particularly in Obo, are still beautiful, modern and relevant today. Crazy! And the view is always breathtaking.

And they are still more uncompleted buildings still under construction in there. I made a research and find out that , is own by MP of that that area. Kwahu's are a tribe like the Igbos or Ga's. You have been touring the towns and cities of this beautiful enclave in Ghana. Nkawkaw, Obo and Mpraeso are some of their famous towns and Municipalities. Rock City Hotel chain is located I think in Nkwatia. I hope this comment helps you Lily.

5. Population below poverty line.
6. Country's Revenue
7. Country's Expenses
8. Country's Foreign Reserves. ETC
These are some among others points are the economic indicators that shows how well a country is doing.

Yes those of us who are Ga remember the days when Accra was serene. Migration has caused the problems you described, so it’s a good idea for people to start developing their hometowns to keep their populations at home.
@@awula5385 I’m a Ga from la, my question is, the development you see in Accra, was it influenced by we the indigenes, Or the settlers? Because most of our people live in the most impoverished places in Accra, whilst the so called migrants live in the poshest neighborhoods in Accra. So I think, we the indigenous people of Accra are the real problem, not the settlers.

The Ga population is nowhere near the size of others so it's easy not to notice them spread around Cantonements, Labone, Airport and other posh areas including regular neigborhoods. When you go to the villages around the country are they also not in poverty? When greedy chiefs sell all the lands is that also not an issue. In addition most of the people in Fadama etc. are NOT Gas'.

Kwahu's are a tribe like the Igbos or Ga's. You have been touring the towns and cities of this beautiful enclave in Ghana. Nkawkaw, Obo and Mpraeso are some of their famous towns and Municipalities. Rock City Hotel chain is located I think in Nkwatia. I hope this comment helps you Lily.

She gave birth to seven children including Nana Bafuo Antiedu. After the death of Nana Guahyia at Odaso which is on the present Oboase road, there was a conflict over her succession and two of her children migrated towards Akyem and Kwahu. Nana Bafuo Antiedu led a section of the Bretuo to Behenase and finally to Akrofoso. From Akrofoso they moved to make a final settlement at Mampong. The other brothers and sisters and their family that left for Kwahu settled at Obo and Abetifi. Those who left for Akyem settled at Kukurantumi and Apedwa but were however not the first settlers. They were offered a piece of land for settlement by the Asona families who had previously been there.

Yes land wise and infrastructure it can be the biggest in Africa but in terms of beauty and quality its a bit below what I have seen in other countries in Africa. Well it a good credit to the owner because this is private own hotel unlike the famous one in other countries that are internationally own by a foreign companies. Kudus to the owner.
