What are your thoughts about Diddy? Did you believe Cassie BEFORE the footage came out? What are your thoughts after seeing the assault video?
SIDE NOTE: All the research I found stated her mom is Black, Mexican & West Indian. Her dad is Filipino. But I'm not sure if she identifies herself as a black woman.
If you're coming here just to leave comments about her race, please be reminded there's more important issues here than just that part

All I can say is thank you so much for speaking up and standing up for black women . These conversations are long overdue in the black community.
      .
It’s really time for us to stop playing around on these important topics and face the music and the hard work , by holding men like this accountable so we can break these awful generational patterns that exist in the black community.

Honestly, down thru the years I never thought that much about Diddy. Never got into his accomplishments or his career achievements- as strange as that is.
So last year when this stuff came out about Cassie, then I began to learn so much about him and his history. And I have to say, I was thoroughly disgusted.
As for Cassie, after learning about all the collaborative testimonials from so many people who worked with Diddy in close proximity and compared that to Cassie's testimony in that civil suit, I concluded that she was telling the truth.
Especially when I compared her character to Diddy's.
This video, on its own merits, all by itself, will not get Diddy convicted.
HOWEVER, it does reveal criminal behavior from Diddy.
Any lawyer will tell you that what you see, besides abuse, is kidnapping or criminal restraint
(at least twice he restrained her from leaving and dragged back away from the exits, from calling for help). That is at least a misdemeanor or a felony.
This video does more than add further ruin to his reputation, ot further isolates him as more and more people see him for who he truly is- he is rapidly losing more allies and supporters.
His own company Revolt came out with a statement condemning his actions.
I believe that this video is just part of a mountain of evidence being compiled towards opening up a criminal case against him for federal crimes.
Federal crimes which cancells out that NDA between him and Cassie. And where Cassie will have her day in court as the star witness.
And if you know ANYTHING about the powerful legal muscle that is working with her in Southern New York, you will draw similar conclusions.

Not holding men accountable in our community for violence, abuse, crime, etc …famous or not has a negative effect on our community overall . We have to stop coddling adult men who are supposed to be protectors and not problem causers .

All this happened because of our no snitch culture. He did it before. He was never stopped because no one snitched. How many more people had to be victims because of no snitching.
How many more under aged women did R. Kelly mess with because no one wanted to snitch?
This dirt is being done in the open and these people are sure no one would snitch on them.

It is so heartbreaking how much Black women acquiesce to internalized racism and sexism. I immediately believed Cassie. Diddy comes from the generation that constantly reaffirmed hyper- masculinity, and so many toxic ways it was no doubt in my mind she was a victim of his terror. There’s something sinister & sick with a person that they feel entitled permission to treat someone else like this, and the voyeurism of it all is so painful and humiliating. What does it say about us as a society that people are still trying to justify or pretend this didn’t exist. This is White supremacy at its finest.

Is there a place better than under the jail where we can place men who abuse women and treat them like this??
    .
By the way Hollywood is full of these types of incidents and stories. I hope Cassie’s story will give these women the courage to speak up.
    .
We need to put more effort , more innovative, more conversations, programs and laws in place to protect Black Women . Because these types of hideous behaviors towards black women need to stop.

I just want to say I think we all can get over celebrity culture. I enjoy watching random people in RUclips shorts and videos than production quality celebrity backed productions. You feel genuine joy just watching real people creating funny and uplifting content. You don't leave watching them thinking I want to be them. You are just entertained.
Now we live in a world where we have to continue to find excuses to separate our favorite art form the "evil" people who created it.
How much art do we have to separate from the creators now? R. Kelly songs, P. Diddy songs. Keven Spacey movies, Harvey Weinstein productions, and etc.
I hope some of this is breaking the hold celebrity culture has on us.
They are so far removed from us. They don't believe they have the same consequences we do. They don't live in the same world we live in. They shouldn't be anyone's idol.
