I'm not sure if I got a bad screen or not, but it click down it's just bulging a lot more than the factory one. Two bottom screws went in as well.

Did this to the T and now getting “Face ID unavailable” or when trying to unlock my device it doesn’t recognize me at all (with all options turned on). There’s also a message in my settings that say the device screen isn’t Apple certified. Do you have any troubleshooting for these issues?

You probably didn't plug in the ribbon all the way or you damaged it when transferring it over to the new screen.

Yes. I'd you don't carefully transfer that all over your not going to have face id

The face ID should still work, but the auto brightness setting won’t work anymore
