That lady’s scrap quilt is amazing! What a talented crafter she is. That group looked really professional with all the equipment available. I love meeting up with fellow crafters at a friendly group. You can’t beat it!
Love the card your Mum made….such a talented family. It’s lovely you have the quilt group. I discovered last week that there is a Knitting and Crafting group about 5 minutes in the car away. I decided to pluck up the courage and go yesterday and it was brilliant. Like you said they make you so welcome, so I’m looking forward to going back next week. Take care xxx
It was so nice to see you and your mom today! I love the card you both made for your husband. It's beautiful. It's really nice that you can go to that quilt group. I wish there was a crafting group nearby that I could go to. I'm doing a shadow wrap heel on my sock while watching you. ☺️ I'm knitting WYS Goldfinch yarn with the Heel Toe Do-Si-Do pattern. Beautiful lantern grannys!
Thanks for sharing your day. Loved watching you and your mom, and I had no idea about die cutting for quilt piecing. I live in Santa Fe New Mexico and your British accent is soft and peaceful to the ear,
Hello! What a beautiful card you and your mum have made!! Lol What a beautiful day you are having there! How long have you been quilting? Oh how I wish I could do better with a sewing machine. I have always wanted to do a quilt for each of my children with pieces of material from some of their baby clothes and other things they have worn. I would love to put pictures of them from birth to adulthood and have it be something they could pass down generationally through their family!! Your project you are making is going to be so pretty with all the different colors! Keep crafting yarny friend 💜💜💜
Today I worked on a baby quilt. I am making (9) 9" friendship stars, with a fussy cut for the center from my feature fabric that has dogs on it. Got the blocks pieced today. I decided as I was sewing these that I want to use sashing and cornerstones and probably dog ear the corners for a cute bow tie effect. Design on the fly and I will use almost every inch of my coordinating fabric. No room for error😬 wish me luck. I enjoy the challenge of designing from stash fabrics, even just using scraps. Not sure what will be on the back, I might buy some fleece as this is a special gift. Always fun to see what you get up to in the day. I love making cards. I usually use fabric and sew it. It's fun to make something meaningful for the recipient, like you did with a cottage for your hubby. Thanks for.sharing🤗. Lovin' the lanterns😍
Hello Karen, your mam's paper crafting will help her to fill the hours and give her an interest. I started over 25 years ago when I discovered that knitting, sewing and crocheting large garments or home furnishings were slowing getting beyond me because of various reasons. She'll have enjoyed your company and making something which you wanted, and you are storing memories with her. What fabulous footage at the quilting group, the hand sewn quilt is amazing and will be an heirloom for her family. It's a shame that the ribbon on the tape measure was upside down, I think the maker will have been very annoyed when he/she realised the mistake! It's so handy having a die cutting machine to cut the fabric, the pieces will be precisely and quickly cut - a Godsend from the old days x

The card is beautiful. Your mom did a beautiful job on making the card. Cherish all the time you can with your mom.
Thanks for sharing your day. I went geocaching with my friends locally and we found 14 caches and had a nice lunch out.
