My friend loves any and all plant games and their birthday is coming up. After watching this video, I think I found the next best game for their collection!
Yet another great tutorial! We house ruled and threw the crow option from the solo mode into the game. To make up for so many stolen cards we just added more rows to the day. Now we are not only trying to collect flowers but cooperatively trying to work against the crow at the same time. We throw rocks at it (no real crows were harmed in the process).
Yes, and i always wonder how many shots it takes to get the box to land just right. catching it is no big deal. getting to land right way up is the trick. I also am pretty sure each box is empty when he does this.
Setting outside in a garden is a great way to end the year, especially when this tutorial is most likely the last one we're see from you for the calendar year. I look forward to seeing which tutorials you'll have up for 2022. Have a great year.
This is a great family & date night game. We introduced it to my mother-in-law recently. She doesn't play many games, but this is an easy one to understand and pick up on. She ended up winning!
Idk if it says more about my obsession of rules or your wonderful videos but I immediately watched this when seeing it even though I already know all the rules to Floriferous and have already played it a few times 😅. Also, after watching your video on an OLED TV I don’t think I can ever go back to using any other device.
I can't help myself on taking a like on Rodney. His explanations are the best out there, but also he seems like a super nice guy. Cheers from Argentina!
Hi Rodney, I love your videos, and I think they are so awesome that they should reach other audiences as well. If you ever want, I could translate them to spanish CC, let me know (for free obviously)
@@WatchItPlayed Can we pick up a desire card that’s already in our hand, and if so, does this mean that we can score twice the amount of pts on the same desire using both cards? E.g. I have 3 pt/bug desire card in my hand. If I’m allowed to pick up another 3 pt/bug card, do the bugs I have in my hand become 6 pts/bug?
@@paulinadikeakos1019 I don't have my copy handy, but I do not believe there are any restrictions that prevent you from taking 2 of the same desire card, which means you'd be able to score that effect twice, if you had two of them.
Love your videos guys! Keep up the great work! When you have a chance, I'd love a "How To Play" on the pirate game Libertalia which we received for Christmas! Thanks!!
I got this game for Christmas, but we had to watch your new video anyway! I could see you as a story narrator easily. Anyway, this is a great game for relaxing and really simulating a garden walk in an amazing way!
Wow is "Watercolor painted flowers/plants" the new "Spices trade in the Mediterranean" for board games? If so I'm here for it! Already got Village Green, so gonna get Verdant, really liked Paint the roses and maybe I should take a look at Flourish.
Hi Rodney. This is so helpful. I have a question about solo mode and the crows. I don’t know how to read the actions lol. And I don’t see a guide for that.
For the "Same Colour" desire card, can you count points for more than once colour? Eg. If I have 4 yellow flowers and 3 orange, can I count 4 points for yellow AND 2 points for orange? Or do I just score my largest colour?
Rodney, do you just own approximately 500 button down/flannel shirts and pick one that appropriately matches the ascthetics of the board game you're covering? Or do you specifically go shopping to find one that matches? 🤔
Hi there, I recently saw your video on stockpile and was wondering if you knew were to get a copy in the UK or if anyone who sees this is wanting to sell?

I know a board game is the kind of gift I'd want for my birthday :)
I was so confused reading the rules to this game. I appreciate your thorough walk through of it so that I can successfully play this game! Thank you!
You're very welcome - glad to know it was helpful!

lol, sounds like you're having fun with it :)
I love Rodney's easy-to-follow How to Play videos, but I always fail at the first step of doing a no-look toss spin of the game box.

I reckon I could do it, but managing to look at the camera makes it harder.
Tried doing it with my copy of Gloomhaven, broke a foot.
Excellent tutorial Rodney. This helped us clarify some questions we had that were difficult to discern from the rule book.
So glad to know it helped!

Excellent explanation, as always. You have a gift!
Thank you kindly!
Thank you for this video! I'm looking into getting this to play with my 83 year old AVID gardener mom when she comes to visit in a couple weeks. :)
I hope you both have a great time playing!
This is a great family & date night game. We introduced it to my mother-in-law recently. She doesn't play many games, but this is an easy one to understand and pick up on. She ended up winning!
Oh, we also got the mini-expansion recently and played it today. It's two great things: inexpensive and fun!
Hey hey, nice to hear it went over well with your mother-in-law!

I'd better make sure I don't make any mistakes, since they're being blasted out there on a high quality TV in your home :)
Great video! Nature-themes games are all the rage at our house. This one looks like it could fit in nicely.
Christy and I have been enjoying our plays :)
I am very impressed by the twirl of the box top and putting it on the box at the end....without even looking down at it.
*takes a bow*
Thanks! Just played, very relaxing to look at, great little game.
It is, right? Very chill!
Thankyou for making these videos! You are the best at explaining boardgames!
My family and I really appreciate the time you put into these videos!

Nice to see Dr Finn's games but also smaller games being featured.

That, I'll leave that for you discover on your own!
I just realized/noticed that Rodney's shirt always matches the game box!
Does it? ;)

Sorry, no idea.
This reminds me on Wingspan
Are the cards accumulative? Can you use cards from the first AND second days to get bounties at the end of the second day?
Yes, that's exactly right. You are always putting all the cards you're collecting together. You don't separate them by day.
Go Rodney!
Wait, I thought you had white hair--first time I saw you was on the SU/SD podcast episode. Haha
It's a miracle!!
What do you call a plant made of iron?
Flora ferrous.

this is a fantastic filler game
