- 8 years ever since the first night shief, 8 years ever since the horror, 8 years ever since this franchise started, and still many more years to go, this game really has been a part of my life for a long time now, it means so much to me that it still exist and will always be a part of me, thanks to this community for helping to get where i am now, with the friends i have, the talented people, this community is all i shall be greatful for, Thank you Scott.

This is prob what Scott was thinking during those controversy days
Literally was thinking of Scott while listening to this song the first time.
"Now this is your fault" referring to the how huge and convoluted the series has gotten, and how it's almost become his responsibility to maintain it despite clearly communicating that he'd ike to retire and give it to someone else.
"Everything is a problem" referring to the numerous lore and continuity errors starting with FNaF 4 and the box, as well as the fandoms impossibly high expectations regarding such.
"There was a poison in the air" referring to Scott and how he felt about FNaF around FNaF World (from the Dawko interview, when he said he needed to stop expecting people to like the series "just because its fnaf")
Probably some more comparisons I could make, but I think at this point I'm looking too deep and dont want to assume. However I am curious how Scott feels about this "poison" after Security Breach and its mixed reviews

just like dagames' fnaf world song, i think in a way the new entry of the living tombstone put some subtext into the song about how scott felt about his own creation and this animation made it more apparent

In my opinion, I think this is the way the Fnaf community sees Scott as now. A long time ago it all started just so he could get a quick buck. Soon became a huge community and made people expect more and more. People are blaming him for the bad lore. (But if you think about it, it never had one.) Everything became a problem with Fanverse. The community didn't stop pressuring him until Scott retire. The Community is literally waiting for him every night now... for new news of stuff like the movie or the Fanverse. (SB Dropped and people just memed it to death or joked about how bad the game was.) Honestly, SB was made for Matpat to make theories on. Nice animation btw...

actually, Scott felt forced into retirement because he was making large donations to republican candidates Mitch McConnell, Donald Trump, and Tulsi Gabbard. some of whom didnt have very good LGBTQ views. and since most of the FNAF community and their parents are apart of LGBTQ, its quite obvious to see why Scott suddenly decided retire. :)

"Long time ago it was all for a show; fill our wounds with a pound of salt!" When FNAF songs started becoming popular, the FNAF fandom was also slowly splitting apart. The salt on the scars left by the toxicity of the community only burns FNAF more.
"And your reason to justify, scars you can't quantify; lock us inside a vault!" The innumerable scars left on the FNAF fandom and the games itself remained unjustified. The fun felt so close, yet somehow out of reach.
"Now this is your fault! Everything is a problem!" The fandom began blaming Scott for all the things happening to FNAF, as he was "responsible for the problems" that most of the fandom caused.
"There was a poison in the air! Despair is an eternal blight!" Despair and dread was a common duo within the FNAF fandom. Everyone felt empty, as if their souls have been scarred for far too long.
"You're losing it all! You've been blinded by stardom!" A message of how Scott began losing the fandom and games he loved. Perhaps he's been struck by stardom?
"You think that you're alone, but we are waiting for you every night!" *Holy shit, is that a FNAF 1 reference?*
