🏳A nice tradition that started at Disneyland, migrated to WDW. Gives a shout out to a vet & doesn't take that long if you're in the area. Nicely filmed on the train platform and some folks on this channel will be very happy it is archived. TFS💜
Tried to find out how to get my sis-in-law nominated last yr when we went.
Lost my bro-in-law while he was serving in the navy, and had just lost my 2nd bro-in-law who was In the Air Force.
She served in Kuwait, and was attacked (obviously survived).
It’s really not that easy,City Hall at MK said they get sometimes over 100+ nominations a day.

I've never been in the Magic Kingdom when this happened.
As info, while in the Navy (submarine service), if we were on base in the evening when they lowered the flag, the music would come over speakers all over the sub base. Whereever we were (on foot or car), we were expected to stop and if in uniform, salute in the direction of the flag being lowered. We'd have done it regardless of the rules...
Thankful to see WDW doing something as nice as this.
Was a bit disappointed to see so many people continue to walk by without stopping and showing proper respect for the moment. Probably reflects the state of our society...

What's the point of the flag ceremony? As a foreigner it doesn't make much sense
