Pepper has done a great job leading the industry in Lean adoption. But, Dave, I disagree that it "takes a special team" to use pull planning and the Last Planner System(R). We've helped dozens of "regular" teams do it with great results. When followed rigorously with Daily Huddles and Weekly Check-ins the LPS is practically bulletproof.

The UK is falling behind in this area. With the governments 'construction 2025' strategy not looking achievable. The more prefab construction the better in my view. Factory settings create far less waste, it is a shame that the attempts at doing this on a large scale in the UK have not been very successful. For multiple reasons the modular build future is sadly harder to envisage in the UK than other places

Sorry to hear that. The UK has some wonderful Lean successes over the years and the UK 2013 "Industry Strategy" that established 4 big goals for 2025 (33% lower costs, 50% faster delivery, 50% lower emissions, 50% improvements in exports) is a brilliant goal. What's the key to achieving this?

It’s a true testament of just how stupid society has become when we have to create the silly acronyms for something that I’ve known since the age of four that has been common sense all of my life.
