I think you`re the 1st superstock guy to ever state actual believeable HP numbers. Usually they stick to the factory ratings and I believe they grind the numbers off their camshafts just in case, however you put your cam graph on one of Gold`s posts which makes me think your a stand-up guy. 9.3 to 1 compression and 597 HP is impressive. Keep on keepin on Bill.
Nice to see a S/S Drag car featured. Mixing of G.M. Corporate engines have been allowed and successful in certain Drag Classes for years. Unfortunately, the same tact produced confusion and a black eye for General Motors with their production passenger cars. Thank you for this, Alan and Bill.

My brother and I spent a lot of time at the drag strips in our area back in the 80s and 90s. I drove and he performed the magic on the engine. Ground his own valve seats with a Sioux seat grinder much like Bill. You guys remind me a lot of him. Miss those days. He left me the Camaro we used to race.
It would be nice to see a more in depth feature on the car and how it all works together, of course no divulging top secret advantages over the competition.
Very cool video. It reminded me of my friend Jim and his '67 Nova SS that he used to drag race. Always loved going to the drag races. Your video also made me think that doing a similar video of your son racing when his car gets put back together with that fine new engine you built for him. Thanks for sharing with us, Allan. ive never heard of a olds 350 having 500 plus hp. thats more than awesome. and in a car that came from the factory with no vin numbers made into a race car awesome race machine. what a "rocket "ship.!!

4 hole tapered Transdapt under carb, 1 inch open blended into manifold and a 3/8 open on top of that
