I read both of these books at Peterson's recommendation here and found Breaking Open The Head by Daniel Pinchbeck to be one of the most interesting books I've ever read. It's super readable and has got to be one of the most comprehensive books on the contemporary use of psychedelics.
I read the cosmic serpent just before I travelled to Peru the Amazon to have 10 days of ayahuasca, what an exerlent read though now I'm going to read Daniel Pinchbeck namaste
@@jakec6800the same thing happened to me on shrooms. Makes me wonder if that’s what the Bible was referring to in the garden where Eve was cursed with the serpent seed (Cain) and then later Noah building the ark before God sent the flood because Noah was perfect in his (gene)rations. The Bible also says that some of the Nephilim will survive the flood.

Your comment helped me make the decision to buy. Opinion on the cosmic serpent in relation?
@@benjamin2620 I’ve now read both books. Both were awesome. Thanks for the recommendation to watch Narby’s lectures.

Because anyone who belives such nonsense could be true should not be considered an authority on science.
