Honestly it's a unique experience and amazing way to see feel the island and save $$$$$$$$!!! Definitely would recommend trying it!!!!!
It is WORTH it if you are on a strict budget and do not mind “roughing” it while in Hawaii and being one with Nature. It’s the perfect temperature and environment for tent camping. Kauai is considered the rainforest island of Hawaii and it definitely rained ALOT while we were there (day and night) … so that was somewhat of a nuisance with the tent (hence the tarp on top which helps keep the water out) and sometimes the rain can be strong and loud. So bring some ear plugs as well if you are a light sleeper. It allowed for our budget to stretch to afford nice restaurants and tour the NaPali Coast by boat (coming soon in a future video) and still have a budget for future travel plans. Thank you so much! We totally agree… life is so short. Live it while you are living! The Hawaiian waters are terribly cold, but cold compared to what we Texans are use too. Haha! With that said, you aclimate quickly once you submerged your whole body. Beautiful waters and amazing sea life!

Are you allowed to camp inside your car on the parking lot?if I get the permit to camp there or I need a tent?
We are not sure on that one as we did not see anyone doing this…. The cops/patrol do come by one a day and ask to see your permit as it has to be taped to the window or opening of your tent so probably no to car camping 😢
@@AvaAndWill thank you is there overnight parking you need buy set preferment for car or it came included with the camping permit
@@ariasbros8918it comes included , rent a van or suv just cover your windows you will be better off in the vehicle than in the rain hitting your tent! Safe camping ⛺️

Great video! I’ve been trying to obtain a camping permit from their website but keep getting an error page. Is anyone else having this issue? How were you guys able to get your camping permit?I’m eager to purchase my plane tickets but I want to make sure I have somewhere to sleep when I arrive.
This campsite was Anini Beach booked with the county government website. I highly recommend this campsite compared to some of the other county campsites. In our video after this one, you can see Salt Pond Campsite and some issues we ran into there. 🤙🤙🤙 best wishes on your adventures 🤙🤙🤙

Do you need a permit to fly your drone? Thanks
Not at all… we just obey when we see the “no drone signs” and our drone is under 249 g which means we don’t have to “register” or have a “pilots license.” Can’t fly at national parks. But we were fine at the waterfalls and beaches! Thank you for watching!
