Can you add a link to purchase the additional RAM and NVME SSDs? Is the SSD and RAM upgrade only for the F2-423 or can F2-223 be upgraded also? What's the main difference between F2-423 and F2-223?

Can you confirm that the RAM you added is still working on the latest version of TOS 5? From looking at the terra-master forum it appears they are removing support for third party RAM and only allowing people to install their "officially supported" RAM which just happens to cost 4-5 times more than third party RAM with the same specs. I just bought the NAS and planned upgrade the memory, but I may have to return it now.

Roberto used to reply on comments, but since he growth he stopped lol. Let me answer you. As you already wrote, it does not support 3rd party ram. That's why people buy terramaster 423 series and install other OS like TrueNAS, Openmediavault, Xpenology... Tos5 just isnt good, I mean tos overall miss a lot of applications that user figures out after finding what else can Nas be used for beside backups. I had Terramaster before and I returned it due to lack of support.

I've seen some people say they removed the thirdparty ram block with tos 5.1 but cant "confirm".@@janezhitori6203

Just open it up and remove the USB that has TOS in there. I have an M.2 SSD running Proxmox and 32GB memory on mine. It's basically a standard x86 PC with 2 hotswap bays.

Anyone installed the app on mobile phone for this device.?
I’m trying to do this after following the full guidelines on setup , and for over 24 hrs I’m trying to add to my phone and see the Nas, but can’t login.
On my Pc and sharing on my network is ok, i can see and connect, but once I’m open my app on phone, i can’t login.
I’m using my user name and password, but on last option said,, PLEASE INPUT TNAS ADDRESS “. That’s the problem i just can’t understand, what do i need to add there.
Any help or advice will be really appreciated.
    Thank you

My non-original memory does not work, the bios sees, and the OS does not boot.

Its not like they draw massive ammount of power. 7W per drive and at max 15w for the device itself.
And thats during use, the drives can go into standby. 480w per 24 hours or 14kwh per month, at most.
