  • Adventures with EDS shows my experiences with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome , Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome ( POTS ) and Chronic Migraine. Each day I face chronic pain, fatigue and many other symptoms but I still manage to have adventures despite my disability.
In this episode of Adventures with EDS , I am challenged myself to getting through guide camp. I have been a guide leader for nearly 4 years at the same unit where I was a guide. Camping was definitely a challenge for my body, despite having my walker, I did loads more steps than usual, mainly due to the toilet being so far away. I thought sleeping on an air bed in a tent would cause me lots of pain but, surprisingly, I actually slept much better than I usually do. Although, my POTS caused a lot of trouble on the first night as I got way too cold and couldn't control my temperature. At camp the 20 girls we had did lots of different activities including climbing, kayaking, archery and rafting. In this video you will see some pond dipping and our very wet day at Chessington world of adventures. Whilst away I ran soap making and a competitive Disney quiz. I stayed an extra night so that I could stay for my favourite camp activity, a campfire. We sang lots of campfire songs before descending into Disney classics :P
I came home on Friday for my mums birthday we went to my grandparents for the afternoon and then out for another paella birthday dinner.
