That's a great tip running that wire to the standby switch.
And those testers are the shit.
Great content as usual man !

I have a 1973 model 1986 bass amp and I really like it. It's a amp that I'm not getting rid of!

That amp is also a GREAT guitar amp..Years ago the bass player in our band had the full stack..He left it at my house where we rehearsed and I made those 8×12's move some air..

Yes indeed! Just ask Duane Allman, Malcolm Young, and Adam Jones all of which used the 1986 bass version Plexi along with many others. Well you can't really ask Duane or Mal anymore I suppose, but you can still hear them!. It's also very easy to convert these to the super lead circuit but I would be inclined to leave it in it's original form and maybe throw a treble boost in front. Either circuit bass or lead is killer tho!

I've never seen that tube tester and matcher. Those seem really nice!👍

The big gold foil capacitors are made in germany by WiMA, also used in Vox amps.

Ive got a chance to get a 1975 superlead for 1600 bucks right now. I imagine it will need some servicing, your videos will be very helpful..

It would be helpful to cut to a view of the schematic when discussing the mods you are about to make.
