Wanna learn this and all the other guitar solos note for note? I’m available for Skype lessons, just send me a message to davidescobarguitar@gmail.com and we can take it from there.
Be honest who didnt even try to learn the solo they just wanted to hear it
I know most of it but it's very sloppy yet so ya know. Kinda lmao
Yeah me too I can play I just need to work on my pull offs
🤣
Not today
Exactly why I'm here buddy.
0:23 that 12-20 stretch is ridiculous
Dimebag don't uses tapping bro Dimebag Style
TheBfutgreg I have small hands and I can stretch even from 12 to 21. You can too, you just need to position your thumb properly so that your fingers are in a 90 degree angle with the fretboard.
I usually lift my thumb completely when doing such stretches.
when i was learning the solo i had the same problem and i solved it by tapping the 20th fret , even id it isn't played like this it still works
DOABLE
Dimebag's solos are too difficult to imitate ...nice job!! lml
And he used scaloped neck. Must be hard as f
They are easier than you think
His solos are excellent to exercise fingers 😎🤘 (I learned to play fast because of his solos)
@@skylerblack6139 this one is it but others are really difficult
He is great, but once you discover players like Petrucci, Dimebag’s solos seem infinitely more approachable…
It's a Schecter Omen (the cheapest one) fitted with EMG 81 and 85 pickups.
Could you please share the model name please? I couldn't find anything about the model. I'm asking this because of the keyboard, it's scalloped. Is this customized or not?
the ONLY video ive seen of someone playing the actual solo the way it is on the record. Bravo!
The best feeling in the world is when u couldn’t have learned this a year ago and here we are.
Awesome sound and you really got this solo's feel, great playing as always Dave, I´ll stay in tune for more solo of the week
the stretch of this solo is so painful and insane
I see that this is an older video but... NICELY FREAKIN’ DONE, SIR!!! I’m in the process of learning this and I’m sure I’ve got it down just by watching you.
MAGNIFICENT DUDE! If Dimebag were still here today, he’d be proud of you.
I am so happy to know your channel, your work is very impressive. The solo are very accurate and quality of audio and video is cristal. Very nice job, thank you for your work! Cheers!
God damn what a genius Dimebag was
I cut myself under the nail learning the solo, ofc on the moment of the stretch.
So well played mate!
youre a machine dude. i mean that in the best way possible. amazing to watch.
Awesome playing my friend, this is for sure one of the best versions on YT and I had been searching for a while, great Tone, good video quality, and superb playing... what else can you ask for??
I had to subscribe to your channel because I couldn't miss out on anymore of your amazing videos
Great, smooth playing! Great guitar for the job too, but it's the playing that makes it sound that smooth
None can play like Dime.. but ure the best so far.. well done bro!
That guitar is gorgeous!
First you played Zakk and now Dime!!!! you make it look so easy
¡Enhorabuena! ¡¡¡¡Saludos desde Brasil!!!!
Rock on, dude! RIP Dime.
Magnificent David
Nice cover! It's very helpful dude
Gracias!!!
Thanks for the support.
Wow, the 8th notes are so hard to play in time... Dude, you're amazing!
Thanks, It is scalloped just a bit.
you really are a machine.! the best kind
Thanks!!!
You are awesome,
Muito obrigado.
I just realised this vid is 11 years old haha. You rock!!
I notice that you always match the original player's tone on the "solo of the week" series. Can you provide to tone setting and signal paths that you are using. Would love to see Dime's and Michael Romeo's
Thanks man, for dime I've covered a couple solos. I got as close as I posibly could with the gear I had I think...
spot on! dime was the best!
good job!
Thanks to u! I can play this.
Impresionante toque y sonido, +1
WOW, Nice !!!
muito bom... perfect
You are a Monster!
Please ignore that guy named MrGul. Your version is probably one of the best I have heard on RUclips. What is funny is that MrGul is actually a really good player - usually it is the horrible players with no videos that leave negative comments. Perhaps MrGul hasn't had a woman in a while. ;) Keep rocking!
Well done
Damn this guy shreds.
David Escobar vs Chris Zoupa
Chris is very good, but David is more clean.
Because Chris picks with his fingernail. Maybe he isn't as clean, but his album has some very nice solos!
I agree, David is cleaner and much more articulate.
Both are really good and kick ass
David
I think it's a mix of both legato and picking.
Cheers.
That was perfect
Oooo yeaahhh.... with tabs
I don't see too many scalloped necks. Yngwie Malmsteen is belligerently good! His stratocaster is always scalloped. Beautiful video.
There’s a lot of techniques that Dime uses to make his already fast licks sound even faster.
Very good job man! Is the guitar scallopped?

Just to remember, tune your guitar in E standard 425 hz, dime used to tune almost all songs in 425 hz
Just learning this now. I thought the stretch was a typo on songsterr. Nope. Shits real, I'm going down the tapping route for that part, found it impossible to play stood up live
There's no wrong way to play it brother lol
10/10
Dime Time! 😎🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
That is such a nice guitar, what make is it?
How do you get the backing tracks?
How do u achieve dime tone.
Perfect. Why scaloped neck in this song?
Does anyone know the make and model of the guitar?
What guitar model is that?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PLAYING THE RIGHT WAY AND NOT TAPPING!
Wow! Is every fret 'scooped out'?
I tried it in 22 fret at first and cant get perfect bend but at 24 fret it almost feela easy for me
Nice one tho brother just sharing my exp
killer
What's the guitar model?
Dude how many guitars do you have?
I miss Dime and Vinnie so much
Hey, David
Any tips for learning the lick at 0:32 - 0:34? When I seem to pick it, it feels awekward.
Thanks
I’m pretty sure this a lick Dime borrowed from Adrian Smith. He uses it on the seventh son solo and in it he uses hammer ons and pull offs. I’ve been trying it both ways here and either way sounds so similar I doubt you’d notice the difference
Which gauge of strings are you using Dave?
+Fender Bender Hi, I usually go for 9 -42
better than Andy James's attempt, probably the best on yt.
I love panthers it is my best band ever the thafret song is cowboys from hell
Can someone tell me how i get that sound out of a bend like dave is doing in 0:14 ? Is it his amp settings or is there a special technique to create that sound ? (sorry for english lol)
+AimxFirex pinched (or "pinch" i suppose XD) harmonics ^_^
+AimxFirex that is if you are talking about the high pitched sound that seems to ring over top of the note, i'm assuming that's what you are referring to XD hehe
seth m. yeah right i meant the pitched sound didnt know how to explain it :D. but how do you actually create those sounds i still didnt understand. thanks for the reply btw :)
npnp ^_^ basically you want to let your thumb slide across the string slighty when you down pick the string, terrible description i know XD search "pinch harmonic tutorial." i'm sure you'll find a better guide than i can give via text XD
oh okay i got it now thanks a lot ! :)) its rly hard gotta practice it a lot :D
I can't believe i played this at my high school prep rally when i was a sophomore. I love guns now lol.
what?
A ver si yo puedo tocarlo tan bien algun dia, jeje.
Scallop fo daysssss
Ok
Is that a scalloped fret board i spy?
I think so.
I believe so
What tuning is this?
I think it's E standard.
Drop z
lol
Did Dime hammer on or pick that that part at 0:15
pick 11th fret and hammer 12th and 15th, so 2 picks on each string
its a pick/hammer on combo
Fuck it. I'm not stretching it till 20, 19 is already fine lol
0:21 0:23 0:32 0:34
