- I'm Railfan Renato, from the state of Rio Grande (RS) in southern Brazil. I am a volunteer member of the ABPF Sul railway and a preservationist of the old passenger trains of my country and an enthusiast of all the railways in the world and this is very exciting and surprising for me. Here on the channel and on facebook / railfanrenato , watch my videos of Rumo Railroad freight trains, our tourist passenger trains in southern Brazil and some footage of trains in Japan, Russia and the USA. Enjoy my work, share and subscribe to the channel "Railfan Renato". Thanks for watching!
1:13 is such a great sound
Thomas and -his friends- the comrades
It's true - looks like Thomas' family with lots of relatives - LOL
Russian Tank Engines: Hoo-WOOOOOOO!!!
Russian Tender Engines: peep.
Damn in terms of height they’re almost the size of American locomotives. Guess it’s true, they just build bigger in Russia
Nobody:
Russia naming their locomotives: *Ь*
Lol
This little Steam locomotive is Cute
Not sure, but I believe that Russian trains run on substantially wider track gauge than American trains. They sure look massive!
Well there are some railroads in America that has a Wider gauge than Standard. By all means We could've did the same thing since our locomotives Are over 16ft tall.
The Russian gauge was 5 ft as opposed to the standard 4ft 8 1/2 inches used by America
That's actually true. Russian gauge is 1520 mm (1524 in the past), and European and American gauge is 1435.
Yes for military reasons
@@generalhorse493Its Funny that American and Russian Locomotives are both Wide Locomotives, Just Americans Has very Wide locomotives on Stanterd Gauge.
That's some impressive power. Are either of those 2-10-0s from the WW1 era, imported either from Enhland or the US? Many American railroads bought decapods built for Russia that were never shipped due to the revolution. The Russian design was very suucessful in America until the end of steam.
as this happened at a locomotive festival I think you're right that some models that appear in the video are actually imports!
No. You’re thinking of Ye series of locomotives. The two 1-5-0s in this video are the So(Со) and L(Л). Both were Soviet designed and built.
not sure, but i know for a fact that the loco numbered 699-74 was most likely one of the 500 locomotives built in Trollhättan, Sweden. the batch was 500 locos but was meant to be 1000 in total, it obviously got reduced by half.
Gainesville midland in Gainesville Georgia had 5 Russian decapods. To my knowledge only one survived
Tovarich the Tank Engine.
Beautiful Locomotives.
Those trains look amazing
Son una obra de arte
❤❤❤❤❤❤
God these things are ginormous, almost as big as some American steam trains.
Wow, first time in my life I seen steam engine in Russia
This is the country of steam locomotives, here has more preservation than the United States which is the other country of steam locomotives in America, as well as Germany and England in Europe, Russia there are several annual festivals of preservation museums!
I wish I can visit Russia so I can see the Russian locomotives and even travel across the whole world to see loads of locomotives at different countries.
Great memorable coverage
2057 is my favorite😊

Que buen video amigo !!! Exelente !!! 😉👍
Such a beautiful sound… I notice throughout the video they get bigger and bigger. What is Russias biggest locomotive?
The AA model, a gigantic Soviet steam locomotive from 1934. It was the only one in the world with seven pairs of wheels. The “AA” refers to “Andrei Andreev”, a Russian revolutionary who was vice-president of the USSR council of ministers). The “AA” did not go forward due to its size: it destroyed railways, could not make curves correctly and left the tracks. In the 1960s, the only existing “AA” went straight to the trash.
oh god that first train, so dinky and cute
Muito linda! 👏👏👏parabéns!

5:52 this train was driving on the rails of Ukraine in 1996
Our entire country stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people in this difficult time and we pray a lot asking God that everything returns to normal as soon as possible, although we know that the damage of a war will never be forgotten! Speaking of trains, I'm glad that this locomotive Cy 250 74 at 5.52 was remembered from its passage on the rails of Ukraine!
One of the Soviet Union/tsarist Russia’s two main locomotives works was in Lugansk, Ukraine
I tiped in steam....
Soviet trains yay!!!
Stalin trains)

can you pls tell where I can see this
in several places in Russia, which is the country that most preserves its steam locomotives in the world!
Bruto
Boy you can hear how poorly maintained they are. Those rods thrash about as they go by.
SouthernPacific 4452 I think that’s just Russian locomotives in general, even the ones they use on freight routes sound like that
