I want to clarify that there are no amplifiers or post-production alterations involved. The sound you hear in the video did not go through any external speakers. Instead, the signal went from the pedals into the audio interface and was recorded by the DAW on the computer's hard drive.
After saving the recording in WAV format, the audio was imported into Sony Vegas and synchronized with the video recorded by the camera. The ambient audio captured by the camera was subsequently removed from Vegas, leaving only the video along with the WAV audio recorded by the DAW.
It's important to let you know that my Yamaha monitors are always turned off during video recording. I rely on headphones for monitoring while I record.

There are people who use two Ge7 on the pedalboard. One as an equalizer and the other as a clean boost for solos. Ge7 is indispensable in my opinion.
If you're getting noise out of yours I've sent mine to Analogman in Conneticut and Alchemy Audio in Minneapolise - they change the op amps because a lot of the OG ones had some hiss. They take an indespensible pedal and make it to where it's invaluable - I legitimately won't play a show without a modified GE7 at my feet.

Does your behringer EQ give you any noise issues? I've heard that complaint about them which made me hesitant to buy one. I don't care about durability since it would be an "always on" kind of pedal if I used one

É isso mesmo cara! Só os IRs é que são diferentes. Esses são arquivos feitos de falantes e mics reais e trazem texturas de amplificadores reais ao nosso som. Os pedais EQ estão mais para as simulações de amp que vem em pedaleiras (sem IRs) ou a pedais tipo o Sansamp GT2 na simulação Fender, o Joyo American Sound, micropreamps clean da Mooer como o 004, 006, etc... Abração cara!

Thanks bro! The computer is used only to record the sound, in the G1 Four videos. In all the videos I use only the guitar, the G1 Four and the PC (Edit: and the USB Interface). Pensava comprar outros pedais de drive para ter variedade, mas fiquei sabendo desse, e comprei. Muda bastante o som. Ficou top esse som.
Fala Edgar. Minha meta foi encontrar uma regulagem no Ge7 que ficasse bom pra timbres clean e pra drives. Mas se o repertório for em cima de drives o tempo todo como em bandas de metal por exemplo, dá pra melhorar ainda mais... Perde-se um pouco no clean mas pode-se alinhar ainda mais os drives pra chegar nos timbres desejados. :) O Ge7 é um "moldador" de timbres. Comprou bem! Abração cara!

Yes. My first pedal was an MT2 in the late 90's. After a while I bought the Ge7 and used it as in the video until the appearance of the Sansamp Gt2. But even today I think Ge7 is better than many current simulators because the "simulations" are actually ready and fixed equalizations, named with the simulated amp.

Line 6 Pod Express is still very new. I haven't had a chance to test it. But it should be great too. I'm really enjoying the IR-2 for my personal use. The old DL4 is representing the L6 on my board at live shows these days. :)

Um fabricante nacional de pedais (tops) me falou justamente isso. Que um pedal equalizador faz muito bem o papel de um preamp. E também coloca um compressor para chegar próximo a compressão de um valvulado.. E hoje encontrei seu vídeo por acaso.

Metal zone needs a 5kHz cut. That frequency is the cause of the infamous tone of MT2. This is what it was done here with the equalizer, but indeed it can be done directly with the MT2 itself setting to zero mid high-frequencies
Yes! I used only the MT2 for some time in my life in the late 90's. Then I added Ge7 as the video. The EQ improves the final timbre. Both the Mt2 as the clean tone and other OD pedals that are also on the pedalboard. ruclips.net/video/oSOA86pA4qg/видео.html

Sensacional esta sua idéia! Na minha G1 X Four, quando mundo um gabinete, observo que o que mudou foram as frequências, mais ou menos graves, ou agudos ou médios! Vc fez isso usando um Equalizer! Simplismente Genial!
É isso mesmo Fernando. As simulações das pedaleiras desde as mais antigas com 10, 15, 20 anos no mercado se tratam de filtros prontos (equalizadores) nomeados com as características dos amps. Eu usei o Ge7 assim por muitos anos em shows e gravações na época que ainda não existiam simuladores, IRs e funcionava muito bem. Só mudei quando surgiu o Sansamp Gt2 que eu usava a simulação Fender com o drive quase todo fechado e vol alto pra manter clean mas em vários shows o Ge7 funcionava melhor que o Gt2, então eu ia alternando. Até hoje o Ge7 soa melhor que vários simuladores recentes por não comprimir o sinal principalmente o clean como acontece com alguns simuladores. É um pedal indispensável no set de todos na minha opinião. Muito obrigado cara.

I loved the "myth buster" :) Thanks bro! The old simulations are really just fixed equalizations, which are already ready in the simulators. Today we have the IRs. These fall into another category because they are files that bring the real essence of cabinets. I used it a lot as it is in the video in the late 90s until the emergence of Sansamp Gt2 in the middle of the 2000s. But today I see that Ge7 still works better than many current simulators.
God, until now I realize tha all i needed it was a EQ pedal.....

There’s a few guitarists saying the GE-7 adds noise even in subtraction; I’ve never heard that before.

What I can say is that I use Seymour pickups, plugged the 3 pedals right into the interface and hit the rec on the Reaper. I didn't even need to use an NS pedal (but I use NS in live shows). It is a simple rig. Anyone can assemble and prove it. Only 3 pedals and the interface. I never do any pos editing. I leave the sound in the videos exactly as they come out of the pedals. Edit: But we can use another EQ pedal like Mxr or others. What was done in the video will work with any EQ that ranges between 100 and 6.4k or more. Thanks for share bro!

Os IRs não... esses arquivos trazem uma essência dos falantes e mics reais ao nosso som que um EQ somente não faz. O EQ vai funcionar mais próximo às simulações de pedaleiras ou a pedais tipo o Sansamp GT2 na simulação Fender, o Joyo American Sound, micropreamps clean da Mooer como o 004, 006, etc... Tenho pesquisado sobre isso e sugiro você procurar um artigo de engenharia eletronica da UNB. No final o IR é um ruído rosa jogado num amp e um determinado mic faz essa leitura num aparelho (como o Kemper por exemplo). No final são curvas de equalizações,mesmo complexas,mas sâo.Elas conseguem registrar a sensação do falante ,gabinetr,distancia e modelo do mic,e até a intereferencia aue o power amp causa nesse gabinete . Mas reiterando,você é fera,sou fã demais dos timbres e do seu play 🙏👊. Good job!

Mas acho que teria que ser um pedal EQ mais completo, e não "pular" de 3.2k pra 6.4k como no Ge7... teria que ser mais dividido sacou? Tipo um rack. Aí é melhor ter um IR loader mesmo que vai resolver tudo e ocupar pouco espaço. :) Além de mais barato. Mas, eu vou fazer uns testes do MT2 com o Radar e o MT2 com o GE7 pra até que ponto o Boss se aproxima dos IRs. Abração cara.

Acredito que os IR's não cairam na graça da galera "só" por conta de serem simulações bem fieis dos Amps, ou Cabs, mas da junção dessa qualidade com a praticidade que as simulações trouxeram. Além claro, de ser muito mais barato agora para adquirir um IR maneiro, com o som daquele amp ou cab que você sempre quis, mas que no Brasil custa 20mil reais rsrs. A maioria das bandas tem usado, principalmente para reduzir custos na logística dos shows (mais ainda agora com a pandemia). Outro dia o Petrucci em uma entrevista sobre o novo disco do Liquid Tension Experiment disse que usou em algumas músicas.

The more you invest time in an EQ pedal, the better you will sound and in my opinion, most overdrive/distortion pedal out there are basically variation of EQ settings/range from an EQ pedal. My best advice is to start with an EQ pedal before purchasing another overdrive.
Fyi, I use 2 EQ pedal and drive from amp and a distortion pedal. I have full control.

I'm watching this channel since a few months ago and i have to say, it's awesome all the work you do. Personally I love and prefer analog pedals over virtual amps, I would like to know if can I connect for example my BOSS HM-2 - Interface - Cab Sim and get a good sound, I didn't try yet (My interface will arrive this weekend), but it would be great read your point of view, and of course I'll keep learning from your content. Muito bom. Eu tenho essa mesma configuração no meu set a um tempo já, a diferença é que eu ainda uso um compressor sustainer antes de tudo, assim a gama de timbres fica gigantesca, dá pra levar desde Pantera até Pink Floyd fácil
Isso mesmo Tiago. No vídeo usei só o essencial pra não embolar o meio de campo com muita informação :) mas na hora de montar o set o comp vai encaixar bem. No meu caso além do comp entra o wah, o Phase90, o CE3, o Eleclady flanger... não gosto de montar o set com muitos pedais, uso sempre somente o necessário pro repertório da vez. Meus maiores sets ficam no máximo com uns 8 ou 10 pedais quando eu preciso levar esses 3 de modulação que citei acima e os menores com uns 5.

Nunca testei outro cara. Se tiver calma e pesquisar bem pelo Olx acha um Ge7 com preço bom. Vale a pena o Boss porque a gente só compra uma vez e vai a vida toda. :)

É isso! Com alguns fabricantes tem que ser meio na sorte :) Com a Boss não. É muito difícil um pedalzinho dar problema. Só se o dono for muito largadão kk Tenho um amigo que usa uma ME8 ativamente em shows, barzinhos, etc... desde a época do lançamento no final dos anos 90 kk Toda original, nunca abriu nem pra limpeza. Hi, no real amps. Effects chain: Guitar - Pedals - MAudio USB interface - Computer. GE-7 is the "amp simulator" here. There is a diagram during the video.

Porque o ge-7 consegue simular um pré ampli e além disso, uma caixa? Isso se deve apenas pelos ajustes de frequência na equalização? Interessante isso. Eu não sabia que para tocar em linha, esse pedal seria um coringa desse modo.
Fala cara! No caso desses cortes e realces de frequências que fiz no GE7 foi todo baseado no Preamp/Cabinet Natural Clean da GT-100. Entendeu? Eu conectei meu GE7 pelo send/return da GT100 e fui aproximando ponto a ponto o timbre do GE7 ao Preamp/Gabinete Natural Clean. Ligava um, desligava o outro, fui testando até chegar no ponto que o GE7 substituiu o Preamp + Gabinete da GT-100. Foi o mais próximo que consegui. Daí só levar pra um set analógico e usar. Vejo o GE7 (Edit: nesta função) mais como um "quebra-galho" no caso de emergência ao vivo.

Por causa do seu canal, eu descobri que os cabinet nada mais fazem do que uma equalização final. É exatamente o que o ge7 pode fazer. Muito obrigado Matheus! Tmj cara. Isso mesmo. Um preamp e falantes reais recebem um timbre "cru" (guita + pedais) e agem como um "filtro" ou "equalizador". E o power amp amplifica o sinal. Mas principalmente o falante é sim uma espécie de equalizador final. Se trocarmos um Celestion V30 de um amp por um Greenback por exemplo, o timbre irá mudar completamente porque no final das contas o falante é um tipo de "equalizador com regulagens fixas". Falando a grosso modo é claro. Cada um traz cortes e realces diferentes de frequências porém há detalhes nas texturas dos timbres dos falantes reais que eu não acho possível que um pedal EQ faça. Aí nesse caso, os IRs ficam mais próximos pois eles conseguem trazer um pouco dessas texturas que me refiro mas não dá pra descrever com palavras. São detalhes que a gente vai percebendo com o tempo de tanto explorar essa área. Abração cara! Mis uma vez, obrigado!

@@DirectRecordingGuitar sim eu usei o eq no fim da cadeia de sinal pra dar uma melhorada no som, e eu curti! Estou usando um ocd como distortion sendo empurrado pelo od3 da nux porem senti que não tava furando a mix, e com essa configuração no eq depois da simulação de amp é cabinet eu achei que ficou legal, o som ficou mais pra frente e limpou bastante o som, deixando mais limpo e definido o distortion sem falar que o boost na região de 3 k deu até um ganho a mais no pedal!
Que bom cara! Um EQ não pode faltar nunca pra gente. É com ele que a gente molda o som, ajustes finos finais deixando exatamente como a gente gosta. Abração cara!

Hi.. thanks bro! I never tested it, because I don't have an Solid Studio in my hands. But it must be great. IR loaders pedals work in a similar way. I have the Mg300, is a great multi-effect and IR loader.

Thanks bro! It was really good here with SD1, all knobs in 12 hours position and MT2 Dist knob around 10 hours. Thus, SD1 works well as a booster and also as OD with the MT off.

Hi David... I don't know how to answer. I've never had a Babybomb to make this kind of connection in a cabinet and do tests. Theoretically yes because the MT2 will work as a preamp but I don't know in real life how it would sound.

Obrigado Eder! Então cara... Se vc não tiver um pedal IR loader em mãos, pode usar o Ge7 com essa mesma regulagem do vídeo que irá funcionar bem em linha. Nunca testei com o Blackstar. Após copiar essa regulagem do Ge7, posiciona ele após o Blackstar e fecha o agudo do Blackstar todo e vai abrindo aos poucos até chegar em um ponto que fique legal pra você. Eu me baseei no preamp Natural Clean da Gt100 pra fazer essa regulagem apesar de já ter usado mais ou menos assim no final dos anos 90 em bandas de bailes (aprendi isso com o pessoal da época e eu estava começando a trabalhar profissionalmente com música, apenas fiz ajustes finos agora). Pessoalmente eu gosto mais de IRs mas o Ge7 irá salvar a pátria sim ao vivo. Tem outros 4 vídeos no canal usando o Ge7 dessa forma. Um deles com bastante clean usando a strato, e um deles com timbres a lá Jcm800 usando um Guv'Nor. Há também uma "batalha" entre o Mooer 005 e seu gabinete vs o MT2 + GE7 todo mundo em linha.
