Man this team is loaded with talent. I can’t wait to see them come together this season. GBO 🍊 🏀
Lanier is by far the best shooter on the team, but reports from UT insiders are Cam Carr is looking more and more ridiculous each week, and Igor Milicic Jr may be the biggest surprise on the team. Igor is all of 6'10 and his 40% from 3 is legit and he is a much better defensively and more explosive than the staff thought. Dubar is getting his shot fixed and will probably be a role player off the bench this year, but he has gained at least 10 lbs of muscle and his skillset may change to more of a banger \ 4. Dubar is 6'8. Oxpara has also lived up to their expectations so far. He is 7'0, very athletic and is a shot blocking machine. He is excellent in the pick and role and he defends the ball screens well up top. Gainey, Mashack, and JP Estrella will all be big contributors off the bench as well imo. Ziegler and Mashack are the leaders of the team and they are menaces on defense.
Cam Carr, he is the most "talented" player on the team. Besides his obvious athletic gifts offensively, his ridiculous 7'1 length and freaky long arms and quickness make him a beast on the defensive end especially blocking shots. This kid is a lottery pick next year imo. I think our coaches thought he was another year away, but he has really come on this spring \ summer.
PG Zakai Ziegler
SG Chaz Lanier
SF Cam Carr
PF Igor Milicic Jr
C Felix Oxpara
Gainey and Mashack can both play PG and SG. They are classic combo guards. Jamai can also play SF and guard positions 1-4, he is that good on defense.
Cam Carr can play the 2 and 3.
Dubar can play the 3 and 4.
Estrella and Cade Phillips are both impressing as young bigs and will make nice pieces backing up Oxpara and Igor.
Watch out fellas, word in Knoxville is this is the best and most talented team Barnes has had in Knoxville. If they gel like the staff thinks they can, this team is going to be a lot better offensively than last years final 8 team with Knecht and equally as good defensively. Having Zakai, Gainey and Mashack bringing the ball up and running our offense is huge, their experience is helping the chemistry with the transfers immensely.
Carr is gonna be the best all around player on the team and has a chance to be a lottery pick when he finishes at UT
Igor and Shack
I think Cam Carr starts by SEC play. Gainey and Mashack off the bench
GBO!!!!!!!!!!!! 🍊🏀💯
Brandon Huntley came back to the Vols didn't he
No and won't
When it comes to Barnes, all of the new players other than Chaz will get their playing time based on how they play on defensive end.
Y'all don't know ball. That Dalton Knecht boy is gonna start. Go Vols
For the Lakers maybe
@@CoryA77is Dalton no longer on the team?
@@SamuelSmith802no he was drafted by the Lakers in the first round. He had an awesome summer in the D league or summer ball I'm not an NBA guy so not sure what it's called. But Chaz Lanier a transfer we got is a lights out shooter and Cameron Carr was already a Vol is gonna be special. We got 2 other transfers in Dubar a forward I believe a 6 10 center that shoots around 40% from 3pt. We should have an even better team this year with more spread out scoring and way more options. I sure wish Dalton had another year or 2 of eligibility left! GBO
